Did you know we customize training too?!?! Ivyβs parents couldnβt watch TV due to her quite literally lunging herself at the TV and excessively barking. Now weβre compliant, calm, and confident.

Guided training
Timely marking behaviors while training your dog is super important because it helps them understand what they're doing right. It's like giving them a thumbs up! πΎπ When you mark their good behavior right away with a clicker or a verbal cue like "yes" or "good boy/girl," they'll associate that sound or word with a reward. This makes training more effective and helps them learn faster. Plus, it strengthens the communication between you and your dog! πΆπ

Impulse control dog training is important because it helps dogs learn self-control and patience. It teaches them to resist immediate temptations and make better choices. This can prevent unwanted behaviors and make them more obedient and well-behaved. Plus, it helps strengthen the bond between dogs and their owners. πΆπ

This may be insignificant to most people, but Penny is one of the most skittish dogs Iβve had the pleasure of working with. We went from constantly trying to get away from me while on leash and cowering down at any new sight, sounds, or smells to confidently walking on a leash without, pulling, or attempting to create distance. Weβre still building her confidence through positive exposure, and she is now leaning to me for guidance opposed to avoiding the situation.
Dog training is never a cookie cutter job for me, each and every dog learns differently, has different reservations, has different likes and dislikes and processes things differently. οΏΌSome training tools or methods used on certain dogs will completely shut another dog down. Every dog learns at a different pace and processes new situations differently. Some dogs need to build confidence and some need their confidence dialed back. Creating balance is key, and I take a lot of pride in never βmakingβ a dog do anything. I simply teach the behavior to make sure they have a clear understanding of the expectations, train the behaviors through repetition, and proof the behaviors with different factors. Much like a student whoβs basic needs arenβt met, we simply canβt expect them to learn when there are too many other obstacles in their way to focus on learning.
Now that there is a decent level of trust between me and Penny, I canβt wait to see what she offers!
