I think to myself..what would my stylist think if she kept having to gently push my tongue into my mouth when she’s doing my hair. I’ll try it next time and update you all! ✂️ 👅 ❤️
Willow is cute before, and she’s cute after. Definitely one of the sweetest little babies! Her owner is the coolest ever, also. I love that this job can also introduce me to all sorts of walks of life. Everyone has a story and I feel honored that people are comfortable talking to me!

I hit the jackpot today with cuties! We have Clara & Bruno, the dachshunds! They are some of the sweetest dogs I have ever met. They came together, of course. ❤️
And then we have Ms. Lucy, a tiny ball of energy that loves to love.

Today I met Abigail and Libby! Unfortunately I did not get a good picture of Libby in my fancy ring light because she moves like the wind and all my shots turned out to be blurs of a tiny dog. Then again, she isn’t even a year old so the fact that I got a picture at all is an achievement! Maybe I can consider the blurry pictures abstract art and sell them to a gallery one day for 5 million dollars. 🤔
They are both such chill babies! Their owner is an absolute gem of a woman and I was so happy to meet her. I love when people tell me they will be back. 😍

Maddie visits me once a month and it’s always a very pleasant time. 🥰
I even bring her into my house sometimes to explore the sights and sounds 😂
Puppies get into all sorts of mischief and mayhem! This is Gracelan, and she had her first real puppy trim. She did amazing for just 10 or 11 weeks old. With some gentle correction and training, she is well on her way to be a rockstar on my grooming table.
Here are my tips to get your puppy ready for their life of getting groomed:
1.) Start brushing them as early as you possibly can, the more they are use to it the easier it will be for them to have the haircuts you desire! Brushing for at least 15 minutes a day can ensure your baby will not become matted. Make sure to use a good quality slicker brush, don’t be afraid to put a little pressure while brushing. Getting through the entire coat is essential.
2.) It sounds crazy, but getting an electric toothbrush and running it all over their feet/body/head can get them use to the sensation of clippers on their bodies. The sudden jolt of vibration from clippers can be very scary to a dog that has never felt something like that before.
3.) It sounds weird, but it can help to run a blow dryer around your dog so they can also get use to the sound of my blow dryer when it comes time to dry them. Some people even lightly blow dry their dogs coat to get them use to that sensation. (Of course make sure you aren’t overheating them!)
4.) praise and cuddles, treats and rewards! Everyone likes that. 😂😭
Look at Hercules! He’s the man. He has short little legs and it makes him look like a little loaf of bread running around. He’s really sweet, 10/10 cuddle bug! I also love how his tie is sticking out to the side. It’s called fashion, look it up.

Myla was such an amazing sweetheart today! My daughter recently lost her pet hamster and it has been hard on her. She got to love on Myla today and it cheered her up so much. Dogs are good at flippin’ that happy switch. 😂

His owner is such a sweet lady. She rescued him from an abuse situation back in 2020. He is so gentle and cute, it’s a shame to think that someone from his past treated him so terrible.
But now he has all the love in the world and he is definitely a mama’s boy. ❤️

I have some unfortunate news, everyone! As much as it hurts me to say, I can no longer accept dogs that are heavier than 60 pounds due to issues with my back. As much as I love every single dog, I have to humble myself and accept my limitations. Thank you for understanding!

Not your typical dog grooming post, but I was thinking about my own dog today. His name was Chowder. He passed away in July 2022, at around 12 years old. I took him home with me when he was 16 weeks old. He was my companion, my best friend, my heart dog, the one. He watched me grow up, and was there with me through the birth of my daughter in 2017, and he loved her fiercely.
All of this to say..aren’t our dogs so special? I was with him with my head buried in that beautiful red fur as he drifted into the afterglow. Let’s all take a moment to just reflect on the amazing impact our fuzzy companions have on our lives.
I love them all, every one of you has your own version of Chowder, and I love that I’m trusted to take care of them just how I’d want someone to take care of him. 💜
