We got some new intakes today! Welcome home Rocky and Zuma! These two boys were living in a great home before they got some bad news within their family. Due to the time it was taking to care for family, this family needed them to go to a different home. So they called us! We are more than excited to add on to our Guinea Pig herd! 🧡

Make our diets with us! Here at Critters, our animals get the best we can offer! We take time with diets to ensure the best health in all of our residents! This week, we used 6 different types of greens, 4 veggies, and 2 fruits to promote natural foraging and just overall happiness! Every type of produce offers different sets of vitamins and we don’t want our friends to miss out on any of them!!

We got some new intakes yesterday! Please help us welcome Huey, Dewey and Louie to the Critters family! These young boys are lovebirds! When we found out they needed a home we were thrilled to invite them into our lives for the rest of theirs! They already have lots of personality and love to chat all day!

Today Ozzy spent the day in his brand new bioactive enclosure! We always wait to give out bios until about 30 days, or in this case, until we know FOR SURE that there are no diseases or parasites involved. We quarantine until the safety of the new animal and the other animals in our care is secured. In Ozzy’s case, he was quarantined for much longer than 30 days because of two reasons, 1. He was found outside (which can mean loads of parasites and disease), and 2. He has a limb issue that we wanted to make sure we could watch very closely, and if we needed to, we could medicate easier in a quarantine enclosure. Luckily for Ozzy however, he’s been doing fantastic! We are so proud of how far he’s coming already! He’s started to use he’s front feet beautifully and he has a clean health check! Which means… we get a new enclosure!! Normally, our critters would go straight into their forever enclosure, but because Ozzy is going to get pretty big, he’s in a semi-temporary enclosure. He’ll be in here for a while, but soon, he’ll start to grow bigger and need an even bigger enclosure.
