An article about Kromfohrlanders that I found many years ago. One of the more fascinating notes was that our breed's creator, Ilse Schleifenbaum, "didn't like the idea of an official breed club."
Usual reasons for that include the possibilities of betrayal, over-competitiveness, ill will, disrespect and other nasties that make being in a breed club unpleasant.
I hope the KCA continues to attract people that respect and support each other, no matter what. We are all in this together and have the same goals and, basically, the same dogs (on paper). That's how thin the gene pool is, worldwide (and even more so after the c word damaged, prevented and/or discontinued breed progress everywhere). No need to do backstabbing because you are doing it to yourself.
