The Tiny Lions lounge and adoption Center is Washtenaw County's cat café! Imagine a comfy lounge with friendly cats roaming about... that's the Tiny Lions lounge and adoption Center (TLC)! Patrons get FREE coffee, tea and hot chocolate, can use our free Wi-Fi, enjoy café tables (ideal for laptops) or lounge chairs (ideal for snuggling and reading), shop in our cat-lovers store, meet up with friend

s or enjoy alone time with fur-iends. You can also rent the café for birthday parties or other gatherings. And you’re welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages in. Children ages 4+ accompanied by an adult are welcome; tots 3 and under are admitted in half-hour increments only. Today begins our Spring Craft Show! Come join us to hang out with kittens and cats & purchase our crafts for sale!
-A Colorful You shop has an assortment of crocheted items ranging from baby clothing sets, cat coasters, dish towels, and more! -Fortunes Market is offering a variety of stickers and decals (many fun cat themes!) as well as tote bags.
-Wednesday we will joined by Snow on the Desert shop selling a variety of jewelry- also with some cat-themed choices!

Come one, come all! We will be hosting a craft show at Tiny Lions Lounge & Adoption Center starting Tuesday, April 30-Friday, May 3 from 12-7pm daily. Half (or more!) of all proceeds will benefit the cafe & our kitties directly!

Some items for sale include: Jewelry (including some cat-themed!), Hair Scrunchies, Pet Beds & Toys, Amish Knotted Rugs, Knitted Cotton Dishcloths, Cat Face Coasters, Baby Sweaters, Baby Sets, and Teacup Bird Feeders, Tote Bags, Decal Stickers, and MORE!

You can come for a visit with the on-site kitties and do some shopping while you're here! However, you do not have to pay for admission to the cafe if you come for the craft show only.

When your brothers love you just a little too much! Squish!

We call it "single kitten syndrome": when a kitten is raised without littermates or a mom to teach them how to interact appropriately with other cats and people, you might see behavior issues! Here are some ways to help a single kitten thrive:

Enrichment: Make sure that your little one has plenty of things to explore, investigate, and problem-solve to keep their mind busy (and a busy mind is a tired body!)
• Feeding puzzles,
• cardboard box enrichment,
• new and fun scents and textures
• things to discover (think, hide and seek with catnip toys hidden in the pillows on the couch)

Playtime: There’s never enough playtime for a kitten, especially if you're their only playmate! They need toys to wrestle, attack and chew. Rotate toys to keep them fresh and new for your kitten.

Positive reinforcement and redirection: Reward your kitten for making good choices (playtime or treats) and redirect into appropriate actions when they’re being “naughty”. Is your kitten climbing the arms of the couch? Place a scratching post beside the couch and reward them for using it! Remember, punishment may work in the moment, but you’re damaging your bond with your kitten and they’re most certainly still engaging in the activity when you’re not home.

Chloe the Chatty Kitty

We can’t believe that Chloe is still available for adoption! This three-year old lady is an amazing conversationalist. Her listening skills are second to none, but she’ll chime in as well. While she can be a bit shy at first, Chloe is also quite affectionate- she loves to nuzzle against volunteers, staff, and guests alike when given a chance to warm up. She is a people’s cat, and while she may be able to live in a home with other cats if given a slow and cautious introduction, Chloe prefers the company of humans over the age of 12. If you’re looking to adopt and would like to visit Chloe, please visit us today! Edit: Chloe is now located at the Humane Society of Huron Valley 3100 Cherry Hill, Ann Arbor. Stop by and meet her!

Dionysus the Kitty

We hope everyone is having a magical holiday season! For New Year’s Eve, we will be open from noon until 3 p.m. We will be closed on New Year’s Day and will reopen on Tuesday, January 3rd for our normal hours (12-7 p.m.) Dionysus is a one-year old sweet, shy gentleman looking for his furever home. Artemis Loves the New Wand Toys!

Meowy Catmas, everyone! We’ll be open tomorrow, December 24th, from noon until 3 p.m. We will be closed on Christmas Day and will reopen on Tuesday, December 27th for our normal hours. Artemis and the other kitties would like to extend a thank you for the new wand toys our cats received as holiday gifts from our awesome supporters. As you can see, she is having a lot of fun right meow!

Skinny Minnie Playtime

Skinny Minnie can’t decide if she’s feeling more sleepy or playful today. Our kitties love playing with wand toys. We’re running a bit low on wand toys at the moment and would really a-purr-eciate donations of wand toys. We also always need donations of kitten wet food and all-life-stages wet cat food. Donations can be brought to the cafe during our open hours, Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 7 and Sunday from noon until 5. Thank you to all our amazing supporters for helping us to help kitties!

Our Story

The Tiny Lions lounge and adoption Center is Washtenaw County's first cat café! What's a cat café? A cat café or "catfé" is just like a café with cats wandering around. Grab a coffee from the Biggby's coffee next door, bring your laptop, meet up with friends, and hang out with the kitties. Cuddle them. Be entertained by them. Maybe even get a kitty kiss or two. And there's no obligation to take the relationship any further… unless, of course, both parties consent, in which case, we'll be happy to make an adoption happen! Drop in and spend time with the kitties for $7/hr.
