It’s been a rewarding few years to share my love of dogs with the community while raising our son in beautiful Hunterdon County. Not sure where the future will take us, but I know for certain- there will be a dog or two that need us, and we will be there to help ❤️

A contagious disease that affects dogs is spreading through some Burlington County towns, and now some veterinarians are asking pet owners to isolate their dogs.

Pick up & Drop off UPDATE

In order to get through these very busy summer weeks I will be implementing a very strict pick up and drop off schedule. This is for safety and my sanity. I know we all get busy and things happen, but I need to create a family life and work balance in my home.

Effective IMMEDIATELY, all pick ups and drops offs will be scheduled the day before, via text message or email- so it’s in writing.
Running more than 15 minutes late to a drop off, without a very (very very good) excuse will result in a $30 late fee- cash on the spot or your dogs will not be able to stay.

I hate to do this, but it’s been a long time coming and honestly I’m sick of people disrespecting my time.

Well... This is difficult to say...

We have made a bittersweet decision to move out of state and will end boarding the first week of August.
I want to thank every single family who trusted us with their dog, many of you are like family to us ❤️

Almost 2 years ago, while RVing through Kentucky on a hot July day we found this sweet little stray near a bunch of dumpsters in a National Park parking lot. After dozens of phone calls and hours of lining up the logistics I was able to get her transported to our home a few days later- and the rest is sweet sweet history ❤️ We found Kimber the most amazing home with neighbors, and even better, she comes to visit us when they go on trips ❤️

About a month ago we took in Noelle, whose dad died unexpectedly last summer.. She lived alone in their home, let out a few times a day by family, for months... The rescues they reached out to were unresponsive and they were running out of options...
It’s certainly not easy to safely place an insanely stubborn and fiercely loyal 110 pound dog into just any home..

Noelle tested us daily, and I quickly came to the realization that, although I appreciate all of her classic malamute quirks, our home is not a great fit to carry on fostering her.

Through the magic of Facebook networking, we met Karen at Noah's Ark Rescue Project and Sanctuary - aka NARPS, who happens to love and understand malamutes. Today Noelle will be welcomed into her rescue.

Real talk closing: Please have a plan in place for your pets, we are never promised tomorrow. Rescues and shelters are overwhelmed and family may not be as dependable as you think...
Also- if you are in the position, please consider making a donation to NARPS, Karen has a tremendous heart and does amazing work for animals in need. Like her page (linked above).
