Please do not abandon your pet. We know times are hard but leaving rabbits in our hallway is not the answer. We take owner relinquishmets especially in emergency situations. We're glad you did not throw them outside in the cold but we don't know anything about them and we had to scramble to make space for them. We don't know their age, temperament or if they have received any vet care. Since changing management (and soon ownership) we as a pet store have stopped buying animals from breeders because of people abandoning their pets. Almost every week we get phone calls and messages asking if we can take in animals. If we have the room we do take them in. We have a waiting list with over 7 people waiting to relinquish their pets to us. Please remember before adopting or buying an animal they are a lifetime commitment. And please do your research on how long animals can live. Most domestic rabbits can easily live to be 8 years old and many can live up to 12 years. We understand things happen that can't be avoided like job loss or homelessness but again we ask that you think about these things before adopting or buying and never give animals as gifts for Christmas or birthdays. We also highly encourage people to spay and neuter their animals whether it be a rabbit, cat or dog. The pet overpopulation crisis is a human problem, not an animal problem. These rabbits will be looking for a new home once they have been quarantined 💕

Did you know we offer nail trimming services for dogs, cats, small animals, reptiles and birds?!

Dogs, cats and small animals are walk ins. Please call the store before bringing in birds and reptiles, not all of our staff feel comfortable holding and cutting.

We have some amazing sales going on today for black Friday and tomorrow for small businesses Saturday! We will also be having a meet and greet event today, Friday November 29th from 3:30pm-7pm with adoptable dogs and cats! Placing Paws Rescue will have dogs and Gutter Cat Adoptions will have cats and kittens! The Christmas Parade along Main Steet and Tree Lighting Ceremony at Sequoit Park is at 6:30pm so get here early!

Some of the sales are only for Friday and Saturday but some of them go until Monday December 2nd so make sure to check the sale flyer if there is something you are interested in!

Just a reminder if you can't make it out Friday or Saturday we are now open Sundays from 10am-5pm!

Hi everyone we just want to remind everyone the cats and kittens here at Best Pets are being adopted out through Gutter Cat Adoptions. If you want to play with them and meet them you will need an approved application though the rescue. Best Pets is not associated with the rescue, we just house the cats and kittens at the store until they can be adopted through the rescue.

Our staff doesn't know much about the kittens other than what is on their cat condo. Our staff is not able to open the cages to let customers play with them and hold them. Each cat and kitten has a short bio on their condos that state how much the adoption fee is, age and a little about them.

We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience. Again, if you are interested in any of the kittens or cats at Best Pets please contact the rescue who is adopting them out, Gutter Cat Adoptions
