After 31 days on the loose, Doug has been caught and is safe at home!

Tonight, her owner's mom Katrina, Balynda Brown and Sarah Seeley worked together and caught her without a trap! It was a different, risky type of rescue but it worked! She was caught in the dark, between a retaining wall and fence - a width of approximately
18 - 24 inches.

Katrina sang familiar words and used calming signals to lure Doug to her. When Doug recognized her, she ran over and gave Katrina kisses and wolfed down a bowl of chicken!

It's been a real team effort with Balynda's scent tracking dogs (Bravo and Preacher) coming out to Fuquay 2 times to track for hours through woods, swampy areas, etc. Steve and Melissa handing out flyers to businesses and posting flyers. And, Vee was busy moving cameras and refilling food bowls! Thank you Carmen!

Please help us find Doug! Her family misses her terribly.

Doug, a female Staffordshire Terrier, was lost from The Retreat apartments in Fuquay-Varina on April 6, 2024. She was with the petsitter for only a short time when she slipped out of her harness and ran away.

Info about Doug:
* Is a spayed female
* Is Brindle and White
* Has white socks
* Is wearing a green/yellow/pink floral collar
* Is skittish around people

Recent sightings were in these areas:
* Dickens Road/Hwy 55
* Alston Ridge subdivision
* Old Adams Road

Please check your home security footage regularly in case she's been in your yard. If seen, please do NOT chase or call her name as this may force her into traffic or further away since she is now in survival mode. Please call/text the owner at (386) 365-1490.
