In Episode #7 of Meet The Horses, we are excited to welcome Charm and Shadow, owned and ridden by Ella Kay Lane! Ella Kay is a sophomore at UGA and competes through the intermediate level in eventing while also pursuing her medals through the USDF! Both Charm and Shadow will represent UGA eventing with Ella Kay this year. Ella Kay has had lots of success with both of her awesome thoroughbreds and we are thrilled to have these well behaved boys at the farm. Top picture is Charm, bottom is Shadow!
The summer heat will be brutal this week…Please be careful in the heat, make sure to hydrate and properly cool down your horses and yourselves. We are lucky to have the perimeter path to hack on to escape the sun, it’s mostly shaded! 🥵🔥
Episode #6 of meet the horses: Welcome to the farm, Navajo aka Nose!! Nose is an amazing little horse that could, owned by Lexie Grisham. This horse is a fox hunter and eventer extraordinaire, who qualified for the AEC in his first season of competition. We have had Nose here for some short term stays before, but we are extremely excited to have him and Lexie as a part of our barn family long term!

For our Holiday party, we decided to wrap Christmas gifts for a family in need. All of these beautifully wrapped presents will soon be on their way to a dad and his two young kids so that their holiday is fun and festive! It was a lot of fun to wrap gifts with everyone. The best holiday gift for us is knowing that we have a barn family full of generous spirits! ❤️🎁👏🏻
Episode #6 of Meet the Horses brings us our two smallest residents, Elwood and Stinky!
Elwood is a 5 year old Dartmoor/TB cross pony owned by Sue Shephard. He is an amazingly bomb-proof and fancy boy- we anticipate he will make a great event pony for Sue!
Stinky is our companion mini, here to babysit horses that can’t quite handle turnout on their own! Stinky will also be available for our neices’ and nephews’ introduction to horses. She is a fun addition and her favorite color is pink! 🎀

In episode #5 of Meet The Horses, we have Pascha, Newt, and Finn! These three thoroughbreds went to the 2022 Retired Racehorse Project!
Pascha and Finn are owned by Lara Anderson and Daniel Brown. These two are successfully competing in Eventing and are looking forward to a fun 2023! Both are also available to new homes
Newt is owned by my working student Lily Giordano. Newt is Lily’s first restart and she has done an amazing job producing this young horse. We can’t wait to see what they will accomplish!
We had our first annual Full Circle Farm Halloween party this evening!
Enjoy the group photo followed by each costume individually: a pirate and a parrot, Dorothy and the lion from the Wizard of Oz, a taco and a piñata, Luisa and a donkey from Encanto, and a cowgirl with her cow!
We can’t wait to do it again next year! 🎃👻💀
We have kept it fairly quiet, but in early September, our lovely thoroughbred mare, Zara, lost her eye to a bad infection. With the help of some amazing vets and my working student, Charlotte, we have gotten our girl back to confidently doing her job! Zara still loves bossing everyone around, sharing her strong opinions, and she has plans to be a pirate for Halloween!

We had a great evening with some old friends for a senior photo shoot! Andi was beyond thrilled to get to be a part of the action, we can wait to see the shots the photographer got!
Our barn cat, Myles, is ready to celebrate black cat/spooky season now that it is officially fall!! Happy first day of fall!
On Episode #4 of Meet The Horses, we’d like to introduce a very special horse, Louie!
Louie is a 22 years young Appaloosa/TB cross who is semi-retired. He is only semi-retired as he still truly enjoys working under saddle! He also takes his job of babysitting our young horses very seriously!!
Louie belongs to Hayden Sottovia, but was also one of Susan’s former competition mounts. Louie took Hayden from Novice to the CCI2* level as a young rider. He now enjoys showing off his Houdini moves as he escapes from his pastures and trot lengthenings! 😂 Below are some photos of Susan and Hayden competing Louie and a very recent photo of Hayden schooling him at home.
Charlotte has been leasing Zara for one year today! She made this sweet video of her year with the queen Z. We are so proud of their partnership and excited to see where they will go! ❤️👑

In Episode #3 of Meet The Horses, we welcome Temolo and Cavalier!
Trem is new to Athens with his owner, Margo Deal! Margo is a freshman at UGA and will be competing Temolo as a part of the UGA Eventing Team. After a break from competition, we can’t wait to see what these two will accomplish this year!
Cavalier is also new to Athens with his owner, Liesel Fazekas. Liesel is a freshman at UGA and will be competing Cavalier as a part of the UGA Eventing Team. Cavalier is a young horse who has confidently moved up to preliminary this year!
On episode #2 of Meet The Horses, I’d like to introduce my own three horses: Andi, Zara, and Beans!
Andi is a 15 year old Trakehner/Holsteiner from Germany who came to me from a student of mine who still keeps up with him! He loves cross country, and although he doesn’t feel the same about the dressage— Andi helped me achieve my USDF Bronze Medal.
Zara is a 10 year old OTTB mare who has competed through the modified/preliminary level and is now leased by my working student, Charlotte. We can’t wait to see what Charlotte and Queen Z accomplish as a part of the UGA Eventing Team- Go Dawgs!
Beans is a 5 year old ISH who came over from Ireland in December of 2020 as a 3 year old. He is show jumping bred, but seems to enjoy eventing and hopes to make his Training level debut soon!
We are excited to welcome some new horses to the farm! This will be the first of several “meet the horses” posts for our farm.
Mac is a 6yo thoroughbred gelding who recently started Eventing with his owner Nina! Nina is a sophomore at UGA and we can’t wait to see what these two can accomplish this year- Go Dawgs!
Teddy is a 5yo thoroughbred gelding who is preparing to event with his owner, Alexa! Teddy competed in the 2021 Retired Racehorse Project and we can’t wait to cheer him on in his return to competition. 🥳

The primer is dry and the painting has begun in the main barn!
