This video was taken 2-15-19 AFTER #A521342 was found dead in her kennel. She was a roughly 10 pound Chihuahua who was placed in an open air kennel after being spayed. A paper thin, $.99 blank was on the “heated” floor and nothing else. Her pink jacket was removed upon intake and all the beds have been removed from the shelter under the orders of the current shelter manager Frank Macomber. She went to sleep that night and never woke up. It was 35° in San Bernardino overnight.
Note the water soaked kennels, NO blankets in sight. The animals at San Bernardino shelter on this particular morning didn’t even have access to a clean, dry place to sit or lay down. 🥶 Can you imagine how miserable they must feel?
◼️Absolutely unacceptable!!◼️
In addition, we have been informed that one of the most helpful and compassionate employees of that shelter has been placed on administrative leave under Frank Macomber. I cannot tell you how many times this particular employee has helped us personally get a broken or injured dog out of that shelter immediately so they could get the medical care required. What exactly is going on here?
All eyes are watching and we demand answers.

Love Leo has offered $1000 to purchase beds and laundry detergent for this shelter. (We were told they have enough blankets but apparently they’re not being used). Our offer is contingent on whether or not the beds are actually allowed in the kennels and whether the blankets will be cleaned and returned to the kennels.
