So how do you to Get A Reservation(s) & Become An Indigodog (Again or for the 1st time)

In order for your dog to become an Indigodog, I will need to meet you & your dog(s) to make sure we are all a good fit. I also need to see your home & confirm that I will be able to meet all of your dog care needs. There is no fee for the initial meet & greet in your home. Please note, this meet & greet will be conducted online for "Nomad" Indigodogs. If you would like to get on my calendar, let me know the dates for which you would like to arrange for my services. If I am available, I will hold these dates for you until we have our meet & greet. Then your dates will be confirmed & your Indigodog(s) are in. The initial meet & greet is required only for your 1st reservation.

While I am growing my new dog care business, Indigodogs, I would like to find part time work to supplement my income. I am looking for a position working 4 or 5 hours/day (20 to 25 hours/week). I am available to work on weekdays as well as on the weekend. I have a great deal of office administrative & computer experience. If you have an opening, let me know. “Lite” Indigodog Care
$50/night for 1st Indigodog & 2nd Indigodog is FREE

This "dog love & care" service will be provided in your home & will include morning & evening feedings along with opportunities for your dogs to go outside as well as my presence in your home with your dog(s) overnight (from 7 pm to 7 am).

Care for other pets will be considered on a case by case basis. The rate for these additional services depends upon type & number of additional pets and amount & level of care needed. The service area for this service is Trinidad to Fortuna.

Do you live in a small town with limited or no dog care services? Or perhaps you live in your own nature paradise & are not able to find reliable care for your dog(s) due to the rural/remote nature of our home. My “Nomad” Indigodog Care service is just what you need.

“Nomad” Indigodog Care
$80/night for 1st Indigodog
$20/night for 2nd Indigodog
$.55/mile for Nomad Traveling fee (Northern California & Southern Oregon)

This service includes love, spoiling (in a good way), attention, daily walks & feeding as well as my presence in your home with your dog(s) around the clock while you are gone.

Note: This service is available to all living outside of the service area for my basic Indigodog care, which is from Trinidad to Fortuna. I will travel to you & your Indigodog in Northern California & Southern Oregon. I much prefer smaller towns or rural locations. I am particularly fond of magical places hidden in nature off of the beaten path. And, while I love all dogs, I have a special place in my heart for German Shepherds. Larger cities will be considered on a case by case basis. A traveling fee of $.55/mile will be charged for this service.

Care for other pets will be considered on a case by case basis as well. The rate for these additional services depend upon type & number of additional pets and amount & level of care needed.

To become an Indigodog, I will need to meet you & your dog to make sure we are a good fit. For my Nomad services, let’s meet online. I have the best news for all of you INDIGODOGS & all of you who would love to become an Indigodog:

I am pleased to announce that I am reimaging the beloved business Jamara & I so lovingly created & enjoyed for almost 15 years. So much has changed since my Indigo Dog House days, but my love for dogs is not one of them. I am finding myself missing being in the company of my Indigodogs! As some of you may know, Jamara & I bestowed the moniker “Indigodogs” on our guests who enjoyed the accommodations of The Indigo Dog House. This name stuck & is how I now think of all of the dogs of my acquaintance.

As some of you may know, my journey has been a solo one since Jamara moved onto Spirit. I am also living a rather unencumbered life now as I no longer own the home which actually really belonged to our Indigdogs. As such, I offer my services to care for my new Indigodogs in your home. In addition, I will also be offering a version of our Indigodog Adventures (Walks in nature ~ Clam Beach, Trinidad Head, Hammond Trail & Arcata Marsh). Rather than walk many of our Indigodogs together with Jamara, I will be walking one of you at a time.

While, like all things in this life, social media is neither all good nor all bad, I have found myself falling into a few bad habits with regard to how I have let social media invade my life & steal away my precious time.  Over the past few years, I have come to the conclusion that I would much rather be walking in nature, reading a good book, writing, listening to some lovely music or doing countless other things with my time than mindlessly scrolling through social media.  I have been making a concerted effort to scroll less & live more.  

In 2023, my intention is to double my efforts.  I will continue to use social media to share with folks when I have posted new work to my blog, Indigo Spiral Salon.  I will also post information & updates about my exciting new business, Indigodogs.

However, my goal is to completely eliminate mindless social media scrolling this year.  So, if you would like to share anything with me specifically, FB & Instagram are not the best ways to do so.

You can also leave me a voicemail.  But please note, I have never been one to keep my cell phone easily within arm’s reach.  In fact, there are quite a few times my phone is not anywhere near my person.  I am frequently the one at social gatherings without my eyes glued to my phone.  Actually, I am currently having a problem where my calls all go directly to voicemail.  As I do not particularly mind, I have yet to find a solution:)  To be honest, I suspect I will never do so.  I rather like this “feature”, which is perfect for introverts like myself.

So I will be scrolling less (perhaps not at all any longer) & living more in 2023.  I will be seeking IRL connections & all of the magic just waiting for us when we actually put ourselves out there into this big, wonderful, beautiful world.

As you are planning your getaways for 2023, please keep in mind that I will be taking a yearly pilgrimage back to Lesvos, Greece in September. Actually my plans are to do so every year until I am able to make Greece my new home. So if all goes as planned, I will not be available to care for your Indigodog in September as I will be happily living under the Greek sun for another glorious month!
