We frequently get asked if our doodles are good with kids! To be honest, I couldn’t think of anything better for kids than a doodle in their life. Dixie and Hank are so loving, gentle, and sweet. The answer is yes. Yes, they are incredible with kids. 💗

Some of you may know that I (Haley) am not just a lover of doodles, but also a speech language pathologist! This year has been an awkward transition to doing mostly teletherapy! While I miss seeing all of my kiddos in person, I can say one of the best parts is that I can (secretly) be wearing pajama pants while I work and have my furry doodles at my feet. Hank and Dixie have become kind of the mascots for my speech therapy sessions! All of my kiddos love to say hello to them, and anytime I’ve lost someone’s attention or they aren’t feeling the happiest- well, Dixie and Hank can turn any frown upside down. ☺️ I’m so very thankful for my work from home, speech therapy buddies. 💗

Hank Jr. is getting so big!! His mommy says he was the best COVID decision she could have made. We are loving how much he looks like Hank (senior) and that white chest!! 😍💙 such a handsome boy!!

For all of our new followers on this page, welcome and thank you so much for your interest in our doodle family. ☺️ I am going to post some information here to hopefully answer some of our most frequently asked questions:

When is the next litter:
* That all depends on when our sweet Dixie girl’s body is ready! We expect her to go into heat by the end of August. ☺️
* The gestation period will be around 63 days. Puppies will go to their new home around 8 weeks later. 💗

Wait list:
* We do have a list going of people who would like to be contacted directly when we have a confirmed litter (aka- a pregnancy announcement 🤗).

Breed information:
* Dixie is an F1b goldendoodle. This means she is the offspring of a goldendoodle bred with a poodle.
* Hank is an Irishdoodle. He is the offspring of a beautiful Irish Setter bred with a poodle.
* Dixie and Hank’s babies are called double doodles. They are 62.5% poodle, 12.5% golden retriever, and 25% Irish setter.

Coat information:
* Dixie is the most hypoallergenic type of goldendoodle, since she is 75% poodle. She has a curly coat and golden color. She does not shed. Dixie does require lots of brushing to keep from matting.
* Hank has a wavy red coat that feels like velvet. He is easy to brush! He does not shed and he is also considered to be hypoallergenic.
* We get Dixie and Hank groomed 1x/month.
* The first litter of puppies ranged from curly to wavy and red to golden!

Size:
* Dixie is 35 lbs.
* Hank is 49 lbs.
* puppies can range anywhere around their weights

About Dixie’s personality: Dixie is her human mom’s baby. She had a unique gift at providing emotional support and love. She has a very nurturing demeanor and is a loyal companion. She loves to play fetch outside and go anywhere her family goes, but is very content laying at her mom and dad’s feet all day while they work from home. She is even happier if she gets to snuggle in their lap! Dixie is 4 years old and has had 1 litter of puppies. She was amazing, and knew exactly how to care for her sweet babies. 💗

About Hank’s personality: Hank is a gentle giant. He is very playful and such a goofball! He is very entertaining and always makes us laugh. He is extremely loving and gentle, too and also loves to cuddle. He is an amazing family dog and he has never met a stranger. Hank LOVES being a dad. He loves to play with the puppies which also really helps their socialization with other dogs. ☺️

About us: Our names are Haley and Ryder Cochran, and we are a family located in Argyle, TX! We have two children, ages 17 and 8. ☺️ Dixie and Hank are our fur babies and a huge part of our family. One of our favorite things to do as a family are to go on our evening walks, looking at the birds, horses, and nature.

How we raise our puppies:
* We have had one litter of puppies so far and it was amazing. We are so excited to do it again. We raised the puppies in our home. The babies slept beside our bed in a whelping box until they were 4 weeks old where we could keep an extremely close eye on them, and then we moved them to a pen in our living room. All of us love on the baby puppies everyday!! 💗
* Haley loves taking weekly photo updates of each puppy! And usually some videos and photos throughout the week as well sent directly to the owners.
* Their weights are recorded weekly.
* We begin fundamentals of potty training very early on, around 3 weeks! They are not potty trained yet when they go to their new homes, but they are well on their way. We also begin working on fundamentals of basic obedience training. They will be familiar with a kennel when they go to their new homes as well!
* We send them home with blankets that smell like mom, and puppy food!
* They will be up to date on vaccines when they go home with their owners, and we will provide the records. Owners will need to follow up with their veterinarian for boosters and continued care.

Our relationship with our puppies new owners:
* Since Dixie and Hank are our fur babies, their children feel like our grandchildren!! It may seem silly, but we are extremely bonded with them. Before our puppies go to their new homes, we usually communicate with their new owners multiple times a week! They feel like extended family to us when they take one of our babies home with them. ☺️ When owners send us photo updates and videos of how their puppies are doing, it means the world to us! 💗

While we have Riley visiting us, another puppy from our first litter got to come play- Hank Jr!!! It was so sweet to see how Riley and Hank Jr. picked right back up where they left off, playing and running and wrestling!! 🥰 Dixie and Hank were happy to have a couple of their babies in the house- especially our big puppy Hank! 🤣
