Hey everyone! I just feel like I need to apologize for the longer response and wait times for appointments. This summer was slammed unlike anything I have every experienced in my 13 years of grooming. Despite my love for what I do- the burn out is real. Sometimes I come home and just need to crash.

I really appreciate so many of you sticking with me despite the chaos. When you love what you do it really doesn’t feel like work. Things will get back on track once the weather cools down. Thank you all for your patience and understanding.

Summers are a groomers busiest season- especially with the hot spell we have been having. I am trying to get everyone in as fast as possible. Please allow me a day or two to respond to all calls and texts. I’m working 7 days a week. I only take days off if I have prescheduled plans out of town. I work 8am-7pm almost everyday. After the commute home it’s often times too late to call people back.

I love seeing your dogs and I wish I could be more accommodating but I am only one person. Please be patient with me while scheduling around this heat spell. I have never seen such an influx of appointments at once before. I’m navigating through it the best way I can.

I’m home from Alaska but I still request your patience at this time. I have two weeks worth of work to catch up on and it hasn’t been easy. I rarely have time to pick up the phone or call people back at a reasonable hour. This means I may need 2-3 days to respond to calls. Texts are a little easier to respond to but they may not get responded to until 7-8pm.

Everyone who went on our vacation ended up sick besides me so I’ve been thrust into the role of nurse, dog groomer, receptionist, and dog/cat mom. It’s a balancing act for sure.

Work will get back on schedule but it could take a few weeks to get things back on the rails. The trip was definitely worth it and I’m so grateful for your patience with scheduling while I was gone.

Wait times are longer than normal. I will be in Alaska from May 11th-22nd. I’m working everyday until I leave- often times from 9-7. I cannot schedule anymore appointments until I get back. I also apologize if my response times via phone and text take longer. I’m basically running on caffeine and chaos at this point. Things will slow down when my trip is over and once my puppy ages out of his high maintenance shenanigans.

Grooming is a huge priority of mine and I always feel bad when I’m behind schedule. I appreciate you all so much. Thank you for your support after all of these years. You are making my dream come true to see America’s last frontier. Your support and patience means everything to me.

Please be patient with me during this time. Work has been slammed with the warm weather. I’m currently booked around a month out. I’m working around the clock to catch up but I cant sacrifice my days off anymore. My body and mind cant handle it like I used to. I’ll be in Alaska for half the month of May. Please consider that while scheduling. We have a massive groomer shortage in this area and it’s not possible for me to accommodate everybody at once. I am not taking any new clients on at this time. Not even for nail trims.

Work has been canceled the last two days due to bad weather. I do drive with new tires but it is a very light car so I fishtail and slide easily. When I cancel due to weather I do make it a priority to get in the cancelled appointments in as soon as possible. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes this week. Steep driveways and backroads are my number one enemy. With the cold weather we have this week it might be hard for me to drive to certain locations due to the ice. I will get everyone in as soon as possible. I want to groom but I want to be safe.

Please allow me 24-48 hours to respond to all texts/messages. I just got home from vacation today. If you tried to reach out and there was a delay, I wasn’t ignoring you. I was trying to escape work for a while. The burn out in this industry is real. I’m working 60 hour weeks and I only take off 4-6 days a month. I usually leave for work at 9 and don’t get home until 7 which makes it difficult to respond at a reasonable time. I do need to start taking more time off work and this means I need to start turning off my work phone while I’m seeking out that retreat.

I’m sorry if some of you are disappointed in my longer response times. It's not that I don't care. I'm just slammed and trying to take care of myself the best way I can. I promise I’m not ignoring you intentionally.

Please be patient with me for the month of August. I am taking 4 days off work to go to a film festival in NJ this Friday. My best friend is also coming in from out of state the second week of August. I will be taking half that week off so I have time to visit. August is traditionally known as “busy af” season in the grooming industry. It’s hot, humid, and overall unpleasant. Everyone wants their fur babies cut short. Normally I do pretty good at catching up but I’m struggling this month. I’m burned out and I really just want some time for my family and friends.

I will get everyone in as soon as I can. Do not expect an appointment right away. Plan ahead. I will get caught up but I am not going to work myself into the ground to achieve that. Please remember that I’m one person running a very large operation with many different parts. I’m secretary, groomer, driver, cleaner, and accountant.

I am not taking new clients at this time. Not even for nails. Thank you all for your continued support. I couldn’t get this far without you.

I am currently booked out until the last week of June. I cannot squeeze anyone else in or make any more exceptions. I’m working 7 days a week and I’m often working 8-10 hours a day. I’m working around the clock to accommodate the best I can but I also need to look out for myself. I do offer prebooked appointments. If your dog is in bad shape when you get ahold of me, you are waiting too long. Please consider prescheduling with me after each appointment so your fur baby can be comfortable all throughout the year. Please remember that I am one person. I can’t make time that doesn’t exist- as much as I wish I could.

I am returning home from my vacation tonight. All calls will be returned when I get adjusted. Thank you all for the continued support. Please allow me a month to catch up on the work I missed while I was gone. Please keep this in mind while you schedule with me.

This is a super busy time of the year because everyone wants their fur babies short for the warm weather. I’m working 60 hours a week and I’m still struggling to catch up. I’m leaving for Nevada and Utah on Friday and I’ll be gone for over a week. Please schedule accordingly. Allow me 1-3 business days to respond to you while I’m gone. It’s super difficult enjoying vacation with a phone and a calendar attached to me at all times.
