What a great closing note for Symphony Equestrian. We took two riders and one horse to the Key Classic Charity show, and I am so proud of how well they all did.
Poetry took a big challenge, (riding a new horse in her very first show) and made it look easy. She came home with two reserve championships in her huntseat pleasure and equitation championship classes, and a fifth and fourth place as well.
Steller also had a great ride in her leadline class, she was so focused and rode perfectly the whole time, in a big class with 7 riders. Unfortunately I didn’t get many pictures of Steller’s ride but she and Huey looked great together.
I want to give a big thank you to my clients, fellow trainers, and everyone that has supported Symphony Equestrian. After packing up this show, we are closed for business here in Washington state, and will refer all new inquiries for lessons and training to other local and qualified barns. Thank you for a great weekend at the horse show and for all the support and smiles in this past year! Now, on to the next adventure!

Hello friends and clients of Symphony Equestrian,
I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for all of your support and friendship since opening Symphony Equestrian. In the past year we have accomplished so much in weekly lessons, horse shows, working student opportunities, and much more. I am so grateful to have had such an excellent group of clients and horses to work and build a community with.
After much consideration, I will be moving to Virginia in June to pursue more opportunities for both professional and personal growth and development. This has not been a lighthearted decision, I have put time and thought into all avenues of possibility and even though it is bittersweet to leave the northwest and everyone here, the timing is right for me to make this move now.
I will be teaching lessons as scheduled through May 1st. As my leave approaches, I will be touching base with each of my regularly scheduled clients personally via email or during lessons.
Again, thank you for your trust and support. As I enter this new chapter, I am filled with appreciation and wonderful memories because of you all, and for that I could not be more grateful.
Sincerely,
Jessica Hoy
Owner and Operator of Symphony Equestrian

Team Symphony is excited for Show Season 2021!
We are gearing up for our first show of the season in February!
We will have lots of opportunities this year for our students to compete in semi-formal schooling shows and formal class A breed shows.

This week our handsome Dragonsmeade Paragon had his 7th birthday!! We love having “Tony” in the barn, he’s been quite fun for our novice and advanced students to ride! Plus his goofy and sweet personality makes everyone fall in love. Happy Birthday Tony!
Here is a glamour shot from his younger days on the East Coast.

Hal asked Santa for a whole stall full of peppermints and cookies this year.
We think he made it onto the nice list, but Banker says he might be on the naughty list. If begging for treats gets you on the naughty list, then Banker and all the other horses are on it too! 😂
Don’t worry, they will all get extra treats and play time today regardless. Merry Christmas! We hope you have a fun filled day, with lots of treats too.
12/25/2020
Banker says Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! We hope you have a great holiday today, filled with quality time spent with those you love and care about.
The lesson horses are spending Christmas getting extra hay and treats, and playing together in turnout.

Though she is little, she is fierce.
One of the most rewarding things is watching our young riders grow from their first lesson into true equestrians. This is a sport of many “firsts” and we’re glad to join you all for the ride!

Wonder Pony Appreciation Post-we love our “Hal”, and he was so happy to take two of our riders in the show ring for the first time today! Great job to our girls for some blue ribbon rides today!

This is what it’s all about 🤍

It’s the Day of the Horse, and the Symphony team spent it in the best way-at our first horse show!!
We are so proud of all our students, they all had great rides, and they handled their first show with grace and smiles. Taking home some ribbons and a ton of happy memories always helps too!

We loved working with EF Hurley Design LLC to get these portraits of our lesson horses!
We might be biased, but we think our geldings look pretty handsome here. 😍
Get in touch with Erin to buy prints of your favorite photo and to schedule your own photoshoot if you wish!

We have a new lesson horse, who came all the way from Ohio!
Merriehill Ladies Man (Houghie) is a 2010 Morgan gelding. He’s a true example of the versatile morgan-he does western, English, Huntseat, driving and goes on the trail as well!
Houghie will be starting in lessons as soon as next week-he can’t wait to meet all our students!
11/16/2020
We have some new faces at the barn! Welcome to Dragonsmeade Paragon (Tony), a 2014 Morgan Gelding.
He is available for lease or purchase and is a world-class English horse. We’re excited to have him at Symphony Equestrian and can’t wait for you to meet him!
11/12/2020
We 🤍 when our students love our horses! We’re going to have to figure out how to order a matching shirt in Hal’s size though.....😂
11/12/2020
We did a little ba****ck riding fun with Hal in lessons this week!
Riding ba****ck improves connection to the horse and can help a rider feel why their seat and leg position (and balancing with an engaged core) is so important. Plus, it’s super fun to do!

Banker is such a Gentle Giant ♥️

Banker and Regan are turning out to be quite the team!

Being at the Morgan Grand National and World Championship has us reminiscing about horse shows past, and looking forward to show season 2021!
Here is a little throwback of “Hal” being shown in harness as a road pony with his previous owner. I’m sure he can’t wait to be back in the ring either!
Our current students and new students will have the option to show at both schooling and A shows next year. If you’d like to ride or drive in the show ring, please get in touch and we will make that happen!
10/08/2020
Banker and Jess were thinking “out of the box” in their last lesson!
10/03/2020
The sound of leaves crunching on the trail...😍
It is so good for our horses to have a change of scenery every once in a while. Riding outside of the arena makes for happier horses, and better rides back in the arena too.
10/01/2020
Headed into the weekend....a weekend spent with horses!
(The best kind of weekend, in our opinion 😉)
