Welcome to Wildewood
Hello fellow Border Collie enthusiasts! I am Kori Woodard, kennel owner and caretaker of all my lovelies here at Wildewood Kennels. I would like to tell you a little about myself and my beautiful Border Collies that I have been blessed enough to call my fur children. I have been raising Border Collies for 15 years alongside my mother under Sunset Ridge Border Collies. I have decided to branch off and start my own kennel operating under Wildewood Kennels. The reason being for this decision is the distance between my mother and I. I am residing in New Mexico and she owns property in Colorado which she is in the process of making her new home base. This makes for a rather long commute, however, for the time being we are still operating under the same roof and jointly taking care of all our doggos together. Even after the move we will still be sister kennels and continue to be partners in our Border Collie adventures. Our dogs are raised in a home environment, they live both indoor and outdoors. Our puppies are handled from the time of birth and loved even after they venture on to their forever homes. At two weeks of age our pups get started on a de-worming schedule and get their first set of shots at 6 weeks. All of our puppies are ABCA and/or AKC registered. We raise our pups with sporting and working homes in mind, however, they make great companions for those that are highly active and the trickster enthusiast. People often ask what drives me to raise and breed Border Collies. I do this for many reasons. I fell in love with the breed at 10 years old when I got my first BC named Blue. I learned so much from my boy, and he was my absolute best friend. I was blessed with him for 16 beautiful years before it was his time to cross the rainbow bridge. I do this for me. My dogs make my soul happy and I can’t picture my life without them, they’re my family. I do it to keep the breed pure. I do it to keep my bloodline alive, while I no longer have Blue by my side I do have his beautiful grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great great-grandchildren. I love and adore my puppers, all I want for them in this life is their health and happiness.
