It’s hot out but our pups are cool! We’ve got the pool out (none but Snoop will get in it😜) and the a/c fired up in the inside kennels. Book now for your summer travel—we’ve already got a couple weekends fully booked!

What a wonderful idea if you have a pool in your backyard. Speaking of…it’s just about the time of year to gets out out here at Snoop’s Place. It’s small, but if your dog likes water, they’ll have a place to splash around and cool off on the summer heat.

"A tired dog, is a GOOD dog!" We are excited to announce that Snoop's Place will now offer a doggy daycare option! Do you work all day and when you get home your dog is ready to GO (but you're not!)? We can help! We promise that when your dog spends a day with us, they will go home happy, socialized, and TIRED. Dogs have a variety of needs that include exercise and social stimulation, that when unmet, can lead to unwanted behaviors like chewing, digging, excessive barking, etc. A day spent outside, running and interacting with other dogs helps release all the energy in positive ways, reducing all of that unwanted behavior and allowing space for your dog to be the good boy or girl you know they are.
**We're offering an introductory special to try it out--just $15 for the first day!** (Regular day rate is $20/day, overnight boarding rate is $25/day).

Did you know that one of the best ways to help a shy or insecure dog is to have it spend some time in a healthy pack, with other dogs? One of my favorite things about this business is watching the magic of dog interactions and behavior--especially when we have a less socialized dog that comes in nervous, but by the end of their stay is running around and acting like a dog--just like the rest of the pack. Snoop and Kate (the host dogs) are the best at this! They might even teach your dogs to play ball! A day at Snoop’s Place. Daisy and her little sister Denver are regular guests and bring a lot of energy to the yard. 💙 In fact, Denver (the puppy) has already learned the value of the ball. She’s not so sure why it’s so great, but she knows Snoop and Daisy want it! Watching the two big dogs follow this puppy around waiting for her to drop the ball is just too cute! Dogs really do need other dogs to teach them about being a dog. Snoop and Kate (the host dogs) really are great at this. It’s a beautiful day for a good run in the yard!

About Me: My name is Carie Bellanger and I'm one of the co-owners of Snoop's Place, LLC. I have always loved dogs. I remember going on special outings with my dad when I was a kid and always asking him to take me to the pound, where I'd fantasize about saving alll the doggies. I was fortunate enough in my early 20's, and with two young children, to get into retriever training and operated a small training and boarding kennel in Texas for several years. Then life happened and I had to get a "real job".
We moved to Ashdown in 2019, and then in 2020, life happened again (for everyone this time!), and I was laid off from that real job. I'm also an artist (you can check out my stuff on FB/IG Fallen Apples Art if you're interested--I do pet portraits too!). I found myself with the partnership opportunity and resources to get back into the doggie business, and here we are. I have helped many friends and friends of friends with problematic dog behaviors over the years and have a greater than average understanding of dog psychology and behaviors. (We're not currently offering training as a service, but hope to be able to in the future).
We're starting small, looking forward to getting to know the people and doggies in our community, and growing our services to meet your needs. Please feel free to reach out and schedule a time to come out and meet us, check out the facilities, yard, ask questions, etc. I know how hard it is to find a place for your babies that you trust they are safe and being well cared for--and that won't break the bank. I looked and looked last year for a place that I could board Snoop for several days and the only places I found were either full, or out of my budget. That's how Snoop's Place, LLC came to exist! A big shout out to Dallas for bringing his beautiful family to our open house last night! His girls enjoyed throwing the ball for Snoop and watching him get in the pool. 💙 We appreciate you all taking the time to come—it was our pleasure to meet you and look forward to having Dallas as a guest one day!

Meet your canine hosts! Snoop is a 6 y/o yellow lab. He is the epitome of the guy that gets along with everyone and is excited about new friends coming to play. He doesn’t need to be in charge…he just wants to play ball (and get in the water). If your dog is ball player, we’ll make sure he doesn’t hog them all (he’ll try, but 3 is too many to get in your mouth at once).😜
Kate is an 8 y/o Pitt Bull that I adopted not quite a year ago. Despite her appearance, she is a big sweetheart who lets the cat eat her food while she patiently waits, and loves Kong more than life itself. She won’t share, but she’s not ugly about it and keeping her on the Kong prevents her from shredding the balls or other toys. If she’s not actively chewing on it, she’ll mostly just run around with it in her mouth and not let anyone get it.
During your dog’s stay, they will get plenty of playtime and interaction with other dogs. If your dog isn’t used to being part of a “pack”, you can opt for them to have solo playtime, although Snoop and Kate would be more than happy to teach them how to be a good pack member. 💙
