We want to let everyone know that the Rattlesnake vaccine is not available at the present time. The USDA is not renewing the maker's conditional license to produce it. We in the veterinary community have been writing letters in support of the vaccine to the USDA, and we hope they will reconsider.
At this point, we do have some of the Equine vaccine, but we are out of the canine vaccine. When they're gone, we cannot get any more. Thank you.

Raw diets are not without risk.

Ten cats in Colorado, including some indoor-only pets, have died of avian influenza recently, and another infected cat survived, according to state Agriculture Department officials. These are the best obedience classes around!

SPRING 2025 DOG TRAINING CLASSES
The Dodge City Kennel Club is offering the following dog training classes. Classes are taught at the old school building at the west end of Ensign, KS

Beginners Dog Obedience – This class consists of training methods for a well-mannered family dog and an introduction to dog obedience. Cost for the class is $90.00, which includes a treat pouch, book and clicker. Class time is:
Tuesdays from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM starting April 8th for 6 weeks. Glenna Walker CPDT-KA will teach the class.

Intermediate Dog Agility– This class is for dogs and handlers who are already familiar with the agility obstacles and are ready to begin working off leash and running actual courses. Cost for the class is $90.00. Class time is Thursdays from 7:00 – 8:00 PM starting March 27th for six weeks. Stephanie Clinesmith will teach the class.

Advanced Dog Agility - This class is for dogs which are already competing in agility and can work totally off leash. Class will focus on handling techniques to improve speed and fluidity on course. Class times are Wednesdays from 6:00 – 7:00 PM starting March 26th for six weeks. The class will be taught by June McFadden. Cost of the class is $90.00. Dogs will be working off-leash in this class so you must provide a crate for your dog to be confined when other teams are working.

This is Turbo. We are trying to help find him a wonderful home. Turbo was left chained to a tree when his initial owner moved out of state. Luckily, a neighbor in his 90s has been feeding, watering, and caring for Turbo for the past few YEARS since! This good Samaritan can no longer physically care for Turbo, so we are trying to help. Turbo is super sweet! He's friendly with everyone he meets. He does well in a kennel and never makes a mess. He's quiet and pretty well mannered. He's up to date on vaccinations and was neutered today. If you'd be interested in meeting Turbo, please give us a call.
