Hey Catori fans! We need your help getting her to Mississippi one more time! It’s an over 300 mile drive one way for us…her share of the fuel cost is about $150. Thats in addition to our hotel expense, and feed, hay, and shavings for her to keep her comfy in her stall all competition weekend long.

# 4 and our last before our competition. Here’s a recap of some of our highlights, and stay for the end for a little something new from tonight!
In just two weeks time from tonight, she’ll be on her way home with her new owner.
I am so incredibly grateful for the past 3 1/2 months that I’ve been blessed with the opportunity of spending with Catori. I’ve put everything in my being, literal blood, sweat, and tears into this horse. I’ve lived and breathed everything with this horse in mind and how can I be better for her.
She’s taught me so much and I’ve grown as a horsewoman in so many ways thanks to this experience. Letting her go to someone else will be hard, but I have so much pride in what I’ve done with this horse and I’ll be sending a piece of my heart with her.
I can’t wait to get in front of a crowd with her and feel that energy and for it all to come together. She’s given me her all so far, I know she will then too 💕

Talk about that front end lift 💪🏼 We worked a lot last week on Catori’s forward motion and impulsion and I can already see improvement! We also had a lot of fun working on obstacles and riding around cattle at L&C Horsemanship Ranch this weekend. Such a great all around gal! 100 days in, just 20 left to go ❤️ The Safe Horse Project

Catori and I had a great weekend in Jackson this weekend at the Mirka Crew - The Sky Is NOT The Limit clinic! It was great exposure for her to work in new environments among 10 other horses. We worked on her forward impulsion, lateral movements, liberty work, and obstacles…a jammed packed weekend! I now have a clearer vision of our strong points and what I want to include in the freestyle part of our competition. I wish I had more action shots, but Mirka had us so busy utilizing every moment of our time. You will truly get so much out of it if you ever have a chance to attend one of her clinics/lessons! Enjoyed spending this beautiful day with Catori ☀️We did some work in the bridle this morning tuning on body and speed control, then had a chill bridleless ride this afternoon to wind down the day. I find she learns much quicker and is more willing to give her best effort when we work in short, frequent sessions. I entered this competition to see what I could teach her, but in reality she’s teaching me just as much about what it means to be a good trainer☺️ The Safe Horse Project

We will be at this clinic in Jackson, MS on April 22 & 23. This is a great opportunity for you to meet Catori and watch her work if you are interested in bidding on her in May! Otherwise, we live in Ashville, Alabama and you will need to make an appointment to see her there. Now is the time to get your applications in to Horses if you haven’t already and make sure to message me here to set up your meet and greet 🙂

Watch nationally known trainer, exhibitor & clinician, Mirka Crew, share her unique training method with HoH Challenge Trainers as they sharpen their skills and develop their free style routines. The public is invited to attend as auditors. Auditing not only affords viewers the opportunity learn about Mirka’s unique training methods, but also gives them a live preview of many of the Challenge Teams that will be returning for the Trainers Challenge finals at the Heart of the Horse Expo on May 19 & 20.

While these Challenge Teams are in town, this weekend is a great opportunity to make appointments with the trainers to meet horses that you may be interested in adopting at the Safe Horse Auction on May 20th!

Wow what an amazing day we had with Mirka Crew’s Dancing Liberty Horses! The three of us all had the “ah ha” moments we’ve been needing to take our horses to the next level. Lauren and Nico had their first canter under saddle that went beautifully, Christina and Rapper had an awesome liberty session and worked on relaxing and bending under saddle, and Catori and I made a huge improvement with our side pass and other later movements at liberty and under saddle.
