We welcome you and your pet to our boarding facility and we thank you for your trust in allowing us to care for your pet while you are away. We recommend that you become familiar with our boarding policies prior to your pet's reservation. otection, Deb's Bed N Biscuit retains the right to refuse boarding to any aggressive pets or those that may be ill or infected with contagious disease. To ensure the safety of all pets we require that all boarding pets are current on the following vaccinations:
Dogs:
Rabies, DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo, Parainfluenza), and Bordetella (We recommend having the Bordetella vaccination performed at least 2 weeks prior to boarding). Cats:
Rabies, Feline Panleukopenia, Rhinotracheitis, Prunemonitis and Calici. All pet’s are required to have proof of vaccination either prior to your boarding reservation or at check-in. We recommend that all animals that board use a monthly flea and tick preventative (ie. Our Pet Boarding Facility:
The boarding facility consists of four spacious 6'x6' and one 6'x10' kennel. Dogs are taken outside multiple times a day for exercise and elimination in an enclosed fenced yard. Our outdoor exercise park is fully enclosed by a 6 foot fence for your pet's safety. Cats are housed in a separate room in cozy three tier cat condo's away from dogs to help minimize stress. Cats are tended to at least twice per day (food and water,and kennel cleaning. Pet Illness & Emergency Policy:
Your pet's safety is our number one concern while they are staying with us and even if your pet gets sick while you are away be rest assured we will see that they are taken good care of. In the event your pet becomes ill during their stay, your pet will be required to be seen by a veterinarian. We will notify you and/or your alternate contact in regard to the illness and for authorization of veterinary service. In the rare event an emergency situation arises with your pet during their stay, we will notify you and/or your alternative contact immediately. If we can not reach you for authorization of care, your pet will receive emergency treatment by an Emergency Veterinary Service. All veterinary services, as well as boarding services, rendered to your pet are the responsibility of the pet owner and will need to be paid in full at the time of discharge. For your pet's protection, your pet will not have physical contact with other dogs or cats during their stay, unless they are from the same household. Food and Personal Items:
We recommend avoiding sudden diet changes while boarding your pet to prevent digestive upset. Please bring enough food for your pet's entire stay, plus a few extra days in case needed. You may bring toys, digestible treats, blankets, or rugs, with the understanding that these may be soiled, damaged by your pet or lost. Please do not bring bones, rawhides, or any toys small enough to be swallowed. Please put your pet’s name on their items with a sharpie marker for identification.
