Meet Sunny ☀️—our brave, playful, and incredibly loving little boy who is officially ready for his furever home. Sunny has a heart full of love and curiosity; he adores playtime, enjoys watching everything you do, and has the sweetest, gentle personality. Because he’s a social kitten, Sunny must be adopted with another kitten or into a home with a young cat so he can have a forever playmate and grow up happy and confident. If you’re looking to add double the love and joy to your home, Sunny is ready to shine his light in your life. 🐾💛. Please visit our website at www.astoriacatrescue.com and fill out an adoption application for Sunny.🐾🐈💕

💕 Meet Hallet & Shadow, two playful, healthy bonded siblings whose love for each other is as big as their personalities. These sweet kittens do everything together—snuggling up for naps, chasing toys side by side, and giving each other comfort and confidence every day. Their bond is truly special, and adopting them together means double the love, double the purrs, and a built-in best friend for life. Hallet and Shadow are ready to fill a lucky home with joy, laughter, and endless affection—these two hearts belong together, and they can’t wait to find a forever family who will cherish them both. 💕🐾 They are neutered & vaccinated and ready for adoption next week. Apply on our website at www.astoriacatrescue.com to adopt these sweet loving brothers. Thank you. 🐈🐾❤️

🚨 Rescue in progress 💔❄️ These heartbreaking images show just how young and vulnerable these babies are, trying to survive outside in the bone-chilling cold. This little family — a mama cat and her three tiny kittens — should not be struggling like this. We are actively working to get them to safety, but the reality is we are already at full capacity. Our shelter is overflowing with new rescues, our current shelter cats waiting to be fostered and or adopted, and we are already caring for a mama cat with her five babies plus an additional 6 kittens at our shelter. And yet… here we are again, stepping up for another mom and her three little ones, because leaving them behind is not an option. We are stretched beyond our limits and are desperately in need of kitten food to help nourish these fragile lives once they are rescued. Please, if you are able, consider donating to help us save this family and keep them warm, fed, and alive. They are counting on us — and we are counting on you. 🐾❤️

🚨 Please click on our bio under linktree to find our Amazon and chewy wishlist, kitten milk, wet and dry kitten food desperately needed. With these 3 babies we will rescue today and bring us to a total of 14 kittens at our shelter. 🙏🐾🐈

🎊🐈🐾As we welcome a brand new year, we want to wish each and every one of you a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year 🐾✨ Looking back on 2025, our hearts are filled with gratitude. Without your love, generosity, and unwavering support, we would not have been able to save so many precious lives. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to our incredible supporters, dedicated volunteers, compassionate foster parents, and loving adopters—you are the reason hope exists for so many cats. Here’s to continuing this lifesaving journey together in the year ahead 💕🐾🐈😻

💔 Meet Samie, he was dumped just 2 days before Christmas, this sweet boy was left to fend for himself after his owners abandoned him. He cried and wandered the hallways of his building all day, confused and scared, until we received an urgent call and rushed to save him.😭 He’s approximately 1.5 years old, unneutered, underweight, and clearly he was neglected—but despite everything, he is incredibly loving, friendly, and just wants affection. We took him straight to the vet to be neutered and vaccinated, and he is now finally safe in our care. 🧡 He adores head scratches, rubs up against you for love, and is so grateful for kindness. He is available for fostering or adoption. Stories like this are why we do what we do—no cat deserves to be thrown away and neglected. 💔.

Please apply on our website to foster or adopt Samie at www.astoriacatrescue.com. If possible, please help us pay down his vet bill, which was an emergency rescue; we would be grateful. 🙏

Thank you

📢 END OF THE YEAR TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATIONS 🐈

🐾 Every single face you see here has a story. Once hungry, cold, and forgotten — now they survive because of kindness & compassion. At Astoria Cat Rescue, we feed over 100 homeless cats every single night, trap to spay and neuter, and step in when others walk away. Right now, our food shelves are almost bare and our medical bills are overwhelming, we can't seem to catch a break. As the year comes to an end, we are asking from the bottom of our hearts for help. If you can't help, please share.

🐾We continue to carry out weekly TNR (Trap–Neuter–Return) to reduce suffering and stop the cycle of homelessness. In 2026, our goal is to double our TNR efforts, rescue twice as many cats, and help even more find their furever homes. We can’t do this without your support — your help makes every rescue, every surgery, and every second chance possible. 💛

Your end-of-the-year tax-deductible donation directly saves lives — it means warm meals, medical care, TNR, and hope for cats who have nothing. Our wishlist and all donation links are in our bio under Linktree. Please help us go into the new year able to keep feeding, rescuing, doubling our TNR, and protecting the cats who depend on us. Thank you for your support throughout the years and your continued support to our rescue shelter. 😻🙏🐱💕🐾

🙏 Update: Taxi garage Kitty was trapped the day after Christmas and is safe and sound. He wanted to be rescued. We took him to the vet; he's a healthy boy. He is up fostering/ adoption. He loves getting head scratches. He's a very sweet and shy boy. Approximately 8 months old. ❤️😻🐾🐈

Please donate towards JoJo's surgery and if you can't donate share. An elderly person was the owner of JoJo and couldn't afford to take JoJo to get surgery. Someone reached out to our rescue to save this poor baby with a huge open gash that needed emergency surgery. We reached out to fellow rescuer for assistance as we were overwhelmed on Christmas with other multiple cats we were out rescuing. put the word out for JoJo, and two independent rescuers reached out to him for the location & they went out late at night to find and trap JoJo, and they succeeded! If JoJo wasn't rescued he would not be alive today. Thank you.

We finally trapped this young kitty before the snow storm earlier this afternoon. Approximately 5 to 6 months old. She appeared at a volunteer workshop. She will be taken to the vet for a checkup, get fixed and vaccinated. Then she will be socialized at our shelter so she will eventually get adopted. She is not feral, a sweet girl. She will come and sniff your hand.
Please visit our website to apply to foster or adopt Noeli. Please help us continue to rescue these babies from the brutal cold streets. We can't continue to do this without support for vetting and food. We don't get city or govt funding. If you can't donate please share.

Thank you for helping us help these poor babies.

Tonight, this is his dinner: a piece of cardboard, a paper plate, and the cold ground beneath him. 😔💔

This young, semi-feral kitty is homeless, hungry, and waiting in the bone-chilling cold for the only meal he will receive today. He is one of 120 cats who depend on us every single night for food and safety. We are currently working to rescue him and get him socialized so he can find a forever home, but he will require immediate veterinary care.

Right now, we are struggling to keep up. Our medical bills are piling up and our food supplies are running low. These cats continue to wait because they have no one else to turn to.

Please help us help them

We are critically low on:

🖤 Kitten food & Kitten milk

🖤 Friskies wet food

🖤 Purina Chow dry food

🖤 Temptations treats

🖤 And we desperately need funding for emergency vet care

Every dollar. Every can of food. Every share matters.
They are cold. They are hungry. They need saving. And they are counting on us — and on you.

Please help us keep showing up for them. You can find out Amazon & Chewy wishlist in our bio on linktree. If you can't donate at this time, we understand but please share. Thank you .🙏🐈🐾
