“Booger”

2D and has been clocking and placing at the am rodeos in the Southeast.
Minimal maintenance and an easy keeper. He is older but I believe he will be at a top level for several more years as he is physically sound. He has been under the care of Dr Bennett.

Fancy broke. He was a head horse but is not being listed as such.

Lower $1x,###. He is honest as they come. I have hit two barrels on him the entire time I have had him, both I hit leaving and pulled him onto them. I can provide those videos. You can send him as hard as you want and he will sit down and turn. He does not get on the muscle, he will walk in the gate with his head down and wait on you. He hauls well, eats and drinks on the road.

He has been a ‘barrel horse’ for the past year. His story is quite remarkable and I have been apart of every step this past year. I will be glad to answer any questions you may have. I do believe he will fit an experienced youth.

I am no longer taking in outside horses for commission, tune ups, training or any variable. I also am no longer accepting lesson clients of any kind. Thank you to everyone who has contacted me and previous customers who continue to recommend me to your connections but as of right now, neither are taking place.

Part of seasoning is getting to a point where you can let them work and hoping you’ve done enough for them to pick up the slack. I think this big baby did his best today and I stayed out of his way. He hopped up to the 2D today in the open.

When you are training colts, it’s always the goal for them to be easy enough to ride that someone other than you can actually ride them! So proud of my “child” getting jump rode by this little girl and doing her job! It always helps when they are a hand. She didn’t ask me to even move her stirrups.😂

Select your trainers carefully. Observe how the horses interact with them.

Watch how the most decorated horse in the barn is treated. Watch how the least quality horse in the barn is treated.
(because EVERY horse deserves to think it’s a champ at the end of the day)

Look at the workouts, attitudes and relationships between the trainer and their strongest riders. Look at the workouts, attitudes & relationship between the trainer and their most limited riders.

How do they treat their team members? Does their staff like them? Are the other clients happy? What dreams is your trainer chasing?

Choose a trainer that lives the values that matter to you. Choose wisely, and trust the process.

Not every horse will be a grand champion. Not every lesson horse will be a walk in the park. Not every rider will win the roses. Not every ride will be easy. Not every prospect will work out. The challenges ahead are inevitable.

Spend your time and money to be with a team that you believe in, a team that has your best interest at heart and is honest with you as they help you and/or your horse stride towards greatness- whatever it is you define as such.

Select your trainers carefully- and give it your best shot. Greatness isn’t common; but it certainly doesn’t occur unless the trainers, clients and horses are all giving it their best shot.

I’m so thankful for every client I have, and I strive to do my due diligence to every horse so that they can have their fair shot at life. It’s no secret that successful horses are often loved more, so as I have colts come through my barn I believe it’s up to me to make them as solid as I can so that when they leave they will possess those qualities that make future owners want to love every ounce of them.

Little bobble at the 2, but always proud of this goofy guy and always in awe. Some horses just WANT to run barrels and they are rare. He has lived his life as a head horse and entered his first barrel race in July, only a month after seeing the barrel pattern for the very first time. I can’t wait to take him to some rodeos and for him to experience them from his favorite end of the pen ;)

Some of the ponies getting magnawave treatments today by the lovely . I use the magnawave to help heal existing cells in the muscles and to promote healthy cells to reproduce and grow. We also got to use the poll pack today as well as a massage gun. Happy ponies and a happy me because I got my back treated after they were all done.

Another ranch horse gone barrel horse!

Hardest times of my life! Not being able to do the most basic things. Getting on a horse was the thing I wanted to do the most but was scared to death of throwing my leg over one. Safe to say that fear is long gone!

10 toes in and we standing on business!

Fun Fact: besides horses I have jump rode over the years, every single horse I have ran down an alleyway I have had to make! Some came to me “finished” with major issues and some green as grass. It has not always been fun but man has it been rewarding! “Quitters never win, and winners never quit”

“Woodrow” got to go stretch his legs in town for the first time today! He’s a good bit behind in life but catching up

JDO Scotch Nipper coming off his minor injury today. Let him go pretty comfortable today, now we get to ask him for some run!

I’ve taken the time to get back in shape after nearly a year off from my injury and surgeries. I have room for outside horses, and am accepting lesson clients. Must have your own horse!

Forgot her tie down and took the scenic route to the third but I’m so proud of my little homegrown gal. She’s coming back so strong after her break and will be entering soon!
