I’ve decided to offer something new!

I recently saw some more negative posts about how “just because you are a rider doesn’t make you a trainer.” It just sparked a flame 🔥

I think every rider needs to learn some training techniques to be a horseman. I also had the help when I was younger that allowed me to be a trainer. These voices helped so much because most said that I was t enough of a hand to train horses and now I have those that follow me because they like my approach.

So I had the idea of C**t Starting lessons!

Bring your horse to board and get lessons on training your horse/colt! I can show you what techniques I use and help you perfect them!

There is no reason you shouldn’t go after what you want for your life!

After this one I’m definitely sticking to small tack items until I can get a sewing machine😂 it was a brute! Bit a pull back halter has to be tough💪.

I broke about 5 needles on this one lol. Luckily was so patient!

I will still consider halter/headstall orders. Just know they will take me 4-6 weeks because of the hand sewing!

It’s been a busy week! I have been helping 4H kiddos with their crafts for Equine Retreat!

It’s so fun seeing how creative they are. It’s so much fun but also exhausting 😅 I’ll be back to making all my leather goodies here shortly!

I have had the tooling done on this piece for a while and I finally got all the finishing touches done today!

Let’s talk WHIPS.

95% of you… (including yours truly!) are/will be faster… if you hang your whip back up in your trailer.

It’s a distraction in most instances.

It takes focus away from your riding.

When you sit up to whip one, you are by default asking your horse to slow down.

Instead, focus on hitting your spots. Work with your horse and stay out of the way. Smooth is fast, and if you can ride to your best effort, I promise you will see a change on the clock.

We welcomed home our new boy yesterday!

I’m so excited! He is a yearling gelding sired by Hellifino.



He is going to be a big boy! Which will be great for me because I seem to always get the little ones! He has a big hip and a great personality to boot. It was his first trailer ride and he settled in great!

He will be my future partner for competing in barrel racing and hopefully breakaway!

We need name ideas!

I guess I’m destined to have the redheads! 😂

I think everyone is feeling ready for spring! We have definitely had spring weather.

Our business is really ramping up! We are doing fencing and hopefully starting our outdoor arena here soon. I will be taking in a training horse as well. And I’m so excited!

We also should have one boarding spot available at the end of the month!

We have some new requirements when boarding. Vaccines. They need to be up to date! We will be adding this in our contract. I’m not one to be a stickler about this, but we have our horses safety as #1 priority!

I’ll be welcoming my new partner this month. He is a yearling gelding out of Hellifino (sired by judge cash). Him being a youngster will give me time to be a mom of my little guy. It puts competing in my future and I’m so excited!

I am still doing custom orders on leather, but I’ll be starting to make some new items and will be focusing on those for a while! I will post what’s for sale as soon as they are done!

This year we have really hit the road running. Being in the horse industry has always been my dream! Thank you all for all the support!

With Valentine’s Day being tomorrow, I thought I’d give you some advice on what you should love….

💖Groundwork!💖

I get it, all you want to do is ride. But ground work can help your ride more enjoyable for both you and your horse.

Ground work really helps you get a bond with your horse and be able to do many maneuvers when in saddle.

It is very important to be able to move the quarters of your horse as well. This will help you:

-catch your horse
-introduce your horse to new things
-ease stress in your horse
-improve your horses’ ability to move off your leg

In the end, you will see that your horse also loves to do this work. I was starting a mare on hooking on today (she is very fearful, but was catching on quickly) and both of my mares came to the fence for their turn😂

So to help you and your horse, learn to love ground work!

Merry Christmas!

I finally get to share some of the gifts I’ve been working on.

Training horses has always been a passion of mine. I have had so many great teachers! The horses included! It’s a place where I feel my stress melt away.

I had one instructor from 4H that always said working with a horse is like a dance and that you need to be the one leading the dance. I still find this to be some of the best advice I have heard. 💃

I still have some training spots available.

But…. What I love even more is teaching others how to train and ride. I have lessons available always. More for those who have their own horses. It could be a horse of any level.

Also the mare in the picture, Feather, is still available. I love her but with my full schedule I just don’t have the time she deserves. She needs her dance partner! I’d love to see a 4Her with her! Message me for details! 🐴

So I’m terrible at getting photos and videos, but Feather and I went to the Yails End Horse show that was in Sandpoint this last Sunday.

With little prep, (I really haven’t ridden her much this summer since having my baby) she really impressed me!

She struggled on neck reining since it’s really been a year since I’ve been strict about it, but she picked it up at the end of the day. After halter, We did a reining pattern, trail ( the spiders they made were spooky😂), a ranch rail class and ranch horsemanship pattern.

We didn’t place but I’m so proud! I’m a little rusty with showing too! If no one snatches her up I think we will be doing this more. It’s nice to get hours in the saddle!
