This smiley young man is as easy and willing to please as rescued herding breeds come! His potential is basically endless in my opinion — as long as his future owner is just as smart as he is!😉
He is quickly accepting of all people, great with other dogs, and just desperately wants a “job” or a very active family or individual.

He is SUCH a lovable and handsome boy no matter what, but he had his second ever grooming/clipping session this Saturday and entering into a lion kingdom level of handsomeness!😁 🐾 🦁🐶 🐾

🌟Training Tips! This is so important!🙌🏻

"But my dog is friendly" you might say. "She's gentle!" you call after them. "She just wants to play!" you say in defense.

Of course! But let's consider the other side of the coin. The other dog your dog is greeting may be:

- Fearful of other dogs
- Anxious of greeting unfamiliar dogs
- Needing space to feel safe
- Not wanting to be bothered
- Friends with only a few dogs
- Painful
- Infectious (kennel cough IS going around right now, by the way!)
- Recovering from an injury
- Learning, and NOT looking for distractions
- Not in the mood
- Doing something else that they are more interested in

I am sure there are plenty of other reasons I have missed. It's really quite simple -- Ignore or ask! It's not hard!

If it's a "no", clip on a lead or ask your dog to stick with you/"leave-it" or whatever specific cues you've successfully taught your dog prior to having them off leash in public.

EVERYONE deserves to be able to walk in peace. Even those who are unsociable, like me!

Sweet hearts, Jock and Charolette, were facing death row 2 weeks ago when high-kill shelters abruptly began closing down and “emptying out” due to . They are now safe here with us. I am thrilled to be able to help dogs from my home state of GA and a top notch FL rescue at the same time!

Ewenity Farm Herding Dog Haven committed to saving these dogs from hundreds of miles away and generally recruits foster homes for their rescues waiting for forever families, but even without foster homes available during this time, they didn’t let these pups down! Classy Canine offer’s extremely discounted board for rescues like this in effort to give back to the community and make more room for dogs to escape euthanasia in time! Ewenity Farm was able to save these two by having them lodge here at Classy Canine in peace as they receive proper vetting and and prepare to find their forever families.
