Rooney moved to his retirement home today! We will miss him but he was well deserving of his time to finally just rest. Im so blessed to have found such a wonderful new home for him where i know he will continue to be loved and well cared for. Enjoy your retirement sweet boy!

We had a successful first IHJA Schooling show of 2025! Thanks to all that braved the snow and joined us! I just love these little shows! Such a quiet place to school your horse, work on issues, not get kicked out for the first mistake and just generally learn and grow in a safe welcoming environment! Thank you Heather Vaught for filling in for our Gina Snodgrass for being under the weather and I even survived without out my kid Tessa Husband! I honestly wasnt sure i could. Shes my main girl! This could have ONLY been possible due to my amazing team! We really have the best team at Kolowa! Great kids, parents, horses, and help. Im so proud of you all! You all pitch in and we get the work done! Here is to TEAM KOLOWA!

BIG NEWS!!!

We are less than 1 month away from our first IHJA Schooling Show of the Year! This year, we have added more FUN Classes! From a New Fearless 40-year-old and above DERBY BOWL to a PARENT LEAD LINE to a HOBBY HORSE DERBY we think this year is going to be the most fun yet!
We have also changed our schedule for some shows this season! All shows this season are DOUBLE IHJA POINT SHOWS!
Here are the following Dates:
January 11th
March 15th-16th (Our first full weekend show!)
April 12th
June 13th-14th (Friday night Jumpers/Saturday Hunters/Equitation)
July 18th-19th (Friday night Jumpers/Saturday Hunters/Equitation)
September 19th-20th (Friday night Jumpers/Saturday Hunters/Equitation)

We have also substantially decreased our haul in fee for those that would love to just haul in and join us for a fun Friday night jumper event! We are very excited for all of these big changes and for a wonderful full season ahead!

Here is the prize list for our 1 day shows. I will have the prize list for the 2 day shows and Friday/Saturday shows out soon!

Congratulations to our High School Dressage Team on their huge success so far this season!

Our High School Dressage Team had their last preseason show today and walked away as Champion!!!! Tessa Husband was also the High Point Rider!!! This team has BLOWN me away this season! 5 preseason shows in total, 4 of those we were High Point Champion Team and the other 3rd! Not only are they such a talented group of riders but great friends who are supportive of each other after every ride. Congratulations my small and Mighty Team!!! On to Zones!

Our most perfect Dia just had a successful Kissing Spine surgery yesterday. Thank you to Caesars Equine Hospital for their continued superb work with my harder case equines! I highly recommend this facility for all of your more intensive equine needs as they have now solved quite a few puzzles for me. We are looking at 4 weeks stall rest and 8 weeks with the pessoa system and hopefully we have our girl back!!!!!! She was so thrilled to be in the barn around the kids and action. I know she wants this too!

We are so excited to Welcome Anika Pirkle to our crew of working students and assistant teachers! Anika is an accomplished Equestrian with a very similar background to my own. I think she will just be an amazing addition to our team! Stay tuned for lots of exciting things to come!
