We are sorry for the delay in updating you all about Tater Tot. We’ve been busy taking care of our girl and making sure she is comfortable. She is done with her surgery and recovering well, thanks to the amazing vets at Auburn University!
If you missed our previous update, we received a call Tuesday night that Auburn had an opening Wednesday morning and they wanted to us to bring Tater Tot. Of course we jumped into action and were there first thing Wednesday morning. Tater Tot was examined and it was confirmed once again that she would require surgery to correct her life-threatening heart defect. Tater Tot spent the night with the amazing staff at Auburn Wednesday night and had her surgery Thursday morning. They were able to correct her PDA with a minimally invasive surgery. She is back home in Atlanta with her foster mom and recovering well!
Thank you for all of the support for this sweet little girl. 💖🐾 We are still accepting donations to cover the cost of her surgery. We have not yet received our final bill from Auburn, but we are attaching the estimate (photo in comments) received at her visit after she had her physical examination and echocardiogram. The first estimate was given over the phone and we have now adjusted our goal to reflect the lower amount of the new estimate. You can still help! Here are all the ways to donate:

Little Orzo is our tiniest puppy of Beatrice's litter and he's not doing well. Through the kindness of another rescue, Orzo spent some time in an oxygen chamber last night, as seen below. Unfortunately his breathing and strength has not improved and so we are taking him to the vet for a full medical work up, including Xrays.
Please make a donation to our fundraiser which will help pay for the various costs associated with treating Orzo and keeping his siblings healthy: https://www.facebook.com/donate/301882979540609/
