Welcoming Jenny to The Prodigal Pooch family! Her owners sent their other pup Scout through training with us and decided to add another dog to their family. Jenny is a German Short Haired Pointer and is here for our 19 Day Off-Leash Foundation Training Package. Please help us welcome Jenny and follow along to see her progress!

Lulu working her commands around the distraction of one of our ducks! For any of you hunters out there, can your dog remain under control around such a distraction? Impulse control is the secret sauce to any good training and just because you can control your dog does not mean your dog will lose any of the drive to retrieve contrary to what many think! Lulu is also currently working on her Down command and we will post a video of that soon as well.

Walker and Yampa are here for their Training Stay! Here they are working on their Heel and auto Sit commands on a walk together. We always take the time to train each dog individually before working their training together to be fair to the dogs. We can expect them to listen and learn together if we haven’t taught them to listen and learn on their own. Great job boys!

Welcoming Lulu to The Prodigal Pooch Family! Lulu is here for our 19 Day Resident Training Program. She will be covering everything from Basic to Advanced Obedience including her Off Leash Training Foundation. Lulu also will be working on not jumping up on people, playful nipping/biting and mouthing, potty training and much more! Be sure to follow along and watch her progress

We had a group lesson with Swell, Baby, Eavy and Bootsie! Everyone is progressing in their programs nicely and we can’t wait to show Baby and Bootsie’s owners all of their progress!

Bootsie here to demonstrate the Down command! She’s also got her Down hold down as well! She’s also reviewing everything else she has learned during the video and will begin working on confidence building and distraction work!

Baby has been working hard so far during her stay with us! Here she and Trainer Anthony are working on her Sit Hold, Heel and Auto Sit and Sit commands. All of our commands come with an implied stay. We achieve this by developing impulse control and holding dogs accountable to holding their commands. Baby is a quick learner!

Baby is here for our 12 Day Resident Training Package! We will be focusing on Basic Obedience, leash manners, potty training and over all teaching her how to calm herself amongst distractions such as dogs and people! Everyone please help us welcome Baby to The Prodigal Pooch Family!
