Grief doesn’t exist on a timetable. It doesn’t end because it’s “time” to feel better. We feel what we must, when we must. It can come and go. It can wax and wane in intensity. It is deeply personal. But it is also a widely shared experience. I’m no exception. I’ve been missing my old gal lately. Three months ago today, our family lost the most gentle and even tempered pet we’ve ever had. I miss that calm energy, that peacefulness she brought, and that sweet, beautiful gray muzzled face. Y’all, it’s hard. But it’s worth it. I will walk with the grief for as long as I must because it is still a small price to pay for the years I walked with my Tempe girl. 💔💞🐾 🐾 🐾 🐾 🐾💕
