🐓The Barred Plymouth Rock is one of my top 5 breeds of chicken. Here are some quick facts about the Barred Rock hen:

👉They can lay up 250 eggs a year.
👉Tend to be docile breed.
👉Lay brown eggs 🥚
👉Lifespan of 8 - 10 years
👉Great breed for beginners
👉Heat and cold hardy, but owners should be careful of frostbite with the comb in winters

🐓I'm a little biased because one of my first hens was a Barred Rock. Louise was a talker and always told us when she wasn't happy about something. I know that as chicken owners, we aren't supposed to have favorites, but Louise was definitely one of my favorites.

🐓Please don't ask me how, but Louise got trapped under a large empty flower pot one day. We were outside with the chickens and noticed Louise was missing. When one of the flower pots was "squaking," we quickly flipped it over to find that Louise was under it. She was a beautiful bird, and my camera roll is full of pictures from her.

👉 One of the cool things about his farm is that he does tours for lots of local schools so kids can get a hands-on learning experience with animals. Our delivery area covers everything ITP (that's inside the perimeter for all of you non-Atlanta folks).

We deliver on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. If you place your order on Tuesday night, we will deliver it the next day. Sorry, we don't deliver on weekends.
