Hi! I'm Mary Ann! My husband David and I love dogs and would be excited for the opportunity to care for your fur baby. I am home full time to care for all our guests' pets, minus the occasional errand run. My husband David will also be home each day. Each of us owned dogs as children and most recently owned a Shetland Sheepdog for twelve years who just passed away last year and who we miss dearly. I have also taken in some strays over the years and re-homed them. We are currently without a doggie of our own and would like to love on yours in the meantime. We have a large family home with a fenced backyard in a neighborhood with sidewalks for walking. We do have a sweet little boy in the home who gets along well with dogs. We would love to meet you and your furry companion and invite your pet for a fun-filled stay of playing in the yard, belly rubs and snuggles.

A Few Housekeeping Details:
**Kids in the House**
Please make sure your doggie(s) likes kiddos as we have a three-year-old boy who likes to give lots of pets. We love all dogs but cannot accept aggressive breeds, destructive dogs or dogs that mark in the house.
**Puppies**
An accident or two is no biggie, but we ask that your pet be 90% potty trained if he/she is a puppy. There is an additional fee for puppies under one year.
**Other Dogs in the House**
It is likely your doggies will be around others during their stay, especially if your vacation is planned around a school or national holiday. Just a heads up they will need to be able to play nice around others. My max is 3 or 4 dogs, possibly 5 if they are all very small. We take time to introduce each new guest so everyone can get acquainted for their stay. All the doggies usually have a great time!
**Crate Training**
We allow our doggies to roam free downstairs in the house while we are home, but all dogs will be crated at night or if we have to leave the home — both for their safety and protection of our furnishings. Being crate trained means they can happily sleep in their crate at night or hang out for an hour or two while we run to the store. We really don't prefer dogs to sleep with us, but if they happen to end up in our room/bed because of barking/crying (aka no one can sleep ;P), we will charge an extra $10 per night per dog. We ask that you supply the dog's crate for their stay so they have a familiar bed to feel safe.
**Feeding**
We are happy to feed your dog whatever you provide, so please ensure they have enough food for their stay. I will try to accommodate continuous feeding pet parents, though I often have to give a set time limit for meals so I can separate dogs...this is so they don't eat each other's food and get a tummy ache. If your dog won't eat his meal at meal time, I'll offer it again a little later. They usually come around by the next meal time.
***Drop Off/Pick-Up***
If you drop off in the morning or afternoon, please also plan to pick up in the morning or afternoon. The dog boarding rate is for 24 hours and any additional time beyond the 24 hour period the following day will incur the doggie daycare rate of $25. Thanks!
