What Great Team!
Tess the Collie - She is a typical Collie who never meets a stranger! Johnnie Rock - He is a beautiful BSD who is learning how to just be "a dog".
We hope that Tess & Johnnie will provide a source of enjoyment & beauty for all of their friends! Since Rocky left us for the Rainbow Bridge in April 2021, he said it was OK to change the name of his page to his little sister Tess and her adventures. Johnnie joined the pack in October of 2021!
What Great Team!
Happy Daylight Savings Time Day!
No One Said Ever!
(Never Fear-The Doggers know what time it is)!
Bears Repeating
Today I was having a discussion with my sister about "finding the right man" (it seems that she still believes that there is one out there and I begged to differ).
This is what I told her about "The Right Man".
(JMO of course)
London Legend
Today was a special day!
Johnnie and Tess got to share their walk with the beautiful London Legend.
London is a 14-month-old Belgian Sheepdog puppy fresh from her 4-point Major win as Best of Breed at the Cherokee Cluster Dog Show!
Our friend, Moshe Reshef, her owner/ handler called and wanted to know of a good place to walk/run the lovely London and of course, I was happy to point him to Crestlawn Memorial Park, where we take our walks every day possible.
Johnnie and Tessie made a new friend and London got her run before her next show tomorrow!
Good Luck Moshe and London!๐
Tessie says "Thank You" to all of her lovely friends who were kind enough to wish her Happy Birthday!
Happy 4th Birthday to My Sweet Tess the Mess!

Adventures in Photographing Dogs
As you know, getting the "Perfect" Holiday photograph of your beloved dogs can be quite an adventure!
Here is a list of some of the things that can (and do) go wrong when photographing dogs!
I bet you will recognize some, if not all, of them!
๐
Pose dogs. Both dogs act like theyโve no idea what โstayโ means.
Pose dogs. Remind them firmly to stay. Dogs stay, but give you a hateful, non-photogenic look.
Pose dogs. Tessie moves. My Sweet Tess has decided she doesnโt need to do anything she doesnโt FEEL LIKE doing. And why would she feel like staying over THERE when the cookies and Mom are over HERE.
Pose dogs. Johnnie's ears disappear. I donโt know where they go. Apparently, he can fold them directly into his skull.
Pose dogs. Dog A decides she wants no part of Dog B touching her and shifts just enough to wreck the composition of the photo.
Pose dogs. Dog suddenly feels the need to perform personal hygiene.
Pose dogs. Line up shot. Nobody moves. Perfect! Dog licks nose just as I press the shutter.
Pose dogs. Dogs refuse to look at the camera, no matter how many kissy-squeaky noises I make.
Pose dogs. Peel Johnnie off my head. Assure him "Kitty, kitty" was just a joke.
Pose dogs. Johnnie hears a command beamed from the Starship Enterprise and takes off to go where no Belgian has gone before.
Pose dogs. Line up shot. Notice huge eye goobers that were NOT there 10 seconds ago.
Pose dogs. Johnnie forgets what heโs doing and wanders out of the frame.
Pose dogs. Dogs look in two opposite directions. Not sayin' "Kitty, kitty" again. I don't have a death wish.
Pose dogs. Now Tess's ears are sideways. She looks like a Collie version of Yoda.
Pose dogs. The Mailman pulls up in the front and both dogs bolt to go on guard duty.
I swear they are trained. Apparently very badly.
Happy 5th Birthday John-John! ๐
LOL! I immediately recognized...
The Bagel
Johnnie and Tess would like the honor ALL the ones who have served!
THANK YOU VETERANS! (Four legs and two)
We support Israel!
(But we still love Arabs).

We Love Rocktober!
After being housebound for many weeks, due to the unbearable heat and humidity of living Deep in the Heart of Dixie, we are finally able to go on daily walks again! ๐ถโโ๏ธ
Johnny and Tess were nearly as out of shape as I was and decided to make a rest stop next to the sculpture of the marble sheep.
Marble sheep are probably the closest these Sheepdogs will ever come to seeing a sheep! ๐

Happy World Collie Day!
Tessie's Back Scratcher!
My Sweet Tess makes a stop by her favorite back scratcher bush on our daily walk! She cracks me up!
Oh John-John!
You picked up your toy and poked me in the leg with your pointy nose (more than once)!
Now I have some snoot-size bruises on my thigh!
You are just SO frickin' HAPPY all the time!
You Crack Me Up!๐
"Poem About A Collie"
In fields of gold, where beauty thrives, A Collie runs, its spirit alive. With elegant grace, it takes its stride, A faithful companion, by your side.
With eyes so bright, like jewels of the morn, A Collie's gaze, gentle and warm. Intelligent and quick, its mind so keen, Always alert, a guardian unseen.
Through rugged paths, it fearlessly roams, Protecting loved ones, guiding them home. A shepherd's heart beats within its chest, Leading the flock with care, the very best.
Its coat, a tapestry of colors divine, Silky and smooth, like the finest wine. In shades of sable or pristine white, A Collie's beauty shines ever so bright.
With a wag of its tail, joy fills the air, Lifting spirits, banishing despair. A friend so true, loyal and kind, A Collie's love, a treasure to find.
In quiet moments, it seeks your embrace, Nuzzling close, filling your space. A comforting presence, a calming force, A Collie's love, an endless source.
Oh, Collie dear, you capture our hearts, With every wag, a bond that imparts. Your noble spirit, forever cherished, In our souls, your love will never perish.

The Shepherd's Lantern Friends, this can be filed under the "learn something new every day" department! The Shepherd's Lantern is the white tip on the tail of all the Collie breeds (Rough, Smooth, Border, and Bearded). It is called the Shepherd's Lantern because the tail would be held high and the white tip would guide the shepherd home in the dark after a long hard day in the fields. What a Charming Story! ๐ And of course, my Sweet Tess has her own Shepherd's Lantern! โค
Johnnie and Tess had such a lovely time yesterday at our Collie Playdate! We had 10 Collies (Lassies) and 2 Belgian Sheepdogs (Blassies) in attendance! Thanks to Julie for organizing the event and to Cheryl Baer for allowing us to gather at her beautiful home! <3
Well, Johnnie and Tess actually HAD an adventure today! As we were walking along a familiar path, two Whitetail deer stepped out of the woods almost directly in front of us! Since we live in Downtown Atlanta, none of us knew exactly how to react! Urban Wildlife is such a Blessing! <3
