Tansy is a mare that we are particularly proud of for her consistent improvement through our first year of having her in our program. She earned a Reserve Championship in the Level 3 Open Derby at the 100X Brazos Slide with a 220 score. Followed by earning a 219.5 at the 100X Derby and a 219 at the All Star Derby at the All American Quarter Horse Congress. Sheโ€™s back in work now and gearing up for her first event of the spring season!

Lucky was a barn favorite for his kind, trainable disposition and sweet personality. He placed 7th in the 100X Open L3 4 yr old Stakes with his 220.5 score and won several Novice Horse Titles throughout the year. Tragically, Lucky passed away in October to colic complications. He will be greatly missed as he was just coming into his own and had such a bright future. We remember fondly the time we spent with him!

Farrah proved herself to be a show horse early on marking a 220 in the Invitational Open Futurity and going on to make the Quarter Horse Congress Open Futurity Finals. She was extremely trainable and just a joy to ride all year. Unfortunately, 2 weeks before the NRHA Futurity, she suffered an injury to her hind pastern that made her miss the big dance. Farrah is on the road to recovery now and we are hoping to have her back in time for the 100X Stakes.

I have to remind myself sometimes that it actually happened,โ€ Oโ€™Rourke says. โ€œIt was definitely something that Iโ€™ve dreamed about from the very first time I got on a reining horse. Itโ€™s something we worked very hard toward, but thereโ€™s never any guarantee that it will happen in your life, so it was a very surreal moment. Itโ€™s special, especially because the entire reining community felt like they were behind us.โ€
