I know I'm miserable at posting, and it didn't even occur to me. I should've done this until now. 🫠 SO! Better late than never, right?! Right? I'm so sorry I did not do this sooner, but hopefully, now everybody can find them all in one place!

Not only is he mine, but my breeding! Which is just icing on the cake!
The progress I've made in my own breeding programs this year is incredible.
And if you know me, you know I love my boys, and I can say I've produced some gorgeous ones this year.

This boy and many of my others may not be UFD, but maybe his sister? The little pullet with him in these pics. Note, she's younger than him, so she should still have more improving to do.

Well, look who's finally here! I've been waiting all year for you little one!
Literally all year, it's been one thing or another with these pairings.
First try was black satin frizzle showgirl X mauve splash silkie, failed. And now blue silkie X mauve splash silkie which finally succeeded!

I'm hoping for many many boys, blues and splash split for chocolate to add to my mauve and mauve splash breeding pens for next year.
Excited to see these little ones grow up!

Most days I just want to get rid of this whole project, but little ones like this restore that need in me!
Newer projects like this one are not easy, but work has to be put in to make them great! Don’t get me wrong there’s a lot to work on, but this feels like a finally good step forward.
I’m so up for the challenge!

I didn’t think anyone could do it, but this cat loves hatch day even more than I do! And that’s saying a LOT! 😂
She checks them all the time, and when she hears me going downstairs she’s going too!
I can barely look at the chicks without being head butted, rubbed against or love bitten.

I can’t even candle eggs, I have to lock up her or have somebody hold her or there will be casualties. 💔🥚

Oh, I’m going to have a LOT of babies. 30 of my silkie/satin eggs in 21 days, 8 call ducks in 27 🤞, 16 silkies in 13. That’s not counting the 40 chicks/juvie‘s I have. (Don’t tell Emma about the ducks! She’ll KILL ME! 🫣)
