Cyprus spent his Monday dreaming of finding his furever home before Christmas!

While we have not been able to intake due to lack of fosters and donations, we still have wonderful babies in our care who are looking for their furever families.

Cyprus is about 9 months old and around 30lbs. He is a very active boy and LOVES to run and play. He is crate and house trained. He is still working on basic manners and how to control some of his puppy impulses, but with consistent training we know he will blossom into a wonderful guy!

If you’d be interested in opening up your heart and home to this goofy boy, or one of our other babies, fill out our application or send us a message!

Must Have Monday!

Little Octavia is back at no fault of her own, nor her potential adopters. Sometimes life hits hard and we have to make decisions that are best for everyone. So now that she is back in foster care, she would like to ask for your help.

While we have had to limit intakes due to lack of fosters, we still have pups in our care that require food, supplies, and vet trips.

Our biggest needs are
1. Puppy pads
2. Puppy food
3. Adult food
4. Benebones

We also still currently have a vet bill that needs to be paid. Any and all donations are tax deductible.

Thank you for all your continued support as we work to grow our new, little rescue!

⭐️Spotlight Sunday⭐️

Cyprus has been enjoying his time in his foster home receiving all the love and care that he never got for the first 7 months of his life.

Unfortunately, his foster brother (resident dog) tore his ACL and is going to require surgery. Afterwards, he will be on strict kennel rest for several weeks.

Due to this, Cyprus is in need of a new foster home, or even an adoptive home!

Cyprus is about 9 months old and around 25lbs. He is a very active boy and LOVES to run and play. He is still working on basic manners and how to control some of his puppy impulses, but with consistent training we know he will blossom into a wonderful guy!

If you’d be interested in opening up your heart and home, either temporarily or permanently, fill out one of our applications or send us a message!

🌈🐾 Celebration of Life Sunday 🌈🐾

Today’s post is a little bit different… 😮‍💨

1yr ago on this day, our amazing Founder & President lost her rescue, Cruiser, after 10yrs. While she has always loved animals, Cruiser sparked her love for rescue and more so, her love for the hard cases. Cruiser was adopted as a puppy, but after he developed trauma due to carelessness of other pet owners, he became a behavioral case. Emma saw the fear where others would have just seen aggression. She worked with him to build his confidence in himself as well as his confidence in her to mediate and advocate for him. He grew up to spread the same love and devotion she poured into him into new fosters she took on. His favorite of all? His kittens! He would cuddle, clean, and stimulate baby kittens and help them flourish in the most crucial point of their development.

Fast forward 8yrs, our President met our Co-Founder & Vice President. Even though Cruiser was not mean towards new people, he did take time to warm up & bond with them; not with his “Fee Fee.” This bond formed between the three became the foundation for many adventures. These three have traveled the country together taking rescues to their rescue partners & forever homes, they have mourned the passing of rescue babies that didn’t beat the odds, they have been there for each other during the storms in life, and they have loved each other without judgement, hesitation, or limits.

On September 29, 2023, Emma took Cruiser to the vet for boarding while her and Tiffany went on a lengthy transport up the east coast. While he was there, Emma asked for an ultrasound to see why he couldn’t keep weight on. For months, she battled loss of appetite, Cruiser not feeling good, and weight loss neither them or the vet could stop. The ultrasound showed them some sort of mass no one could identify, and their only option for answers was exploratory surgery - which he was not a great candidate for. One of Emma & Tiffany’s core values have always been to be by their side during their journey to the Rainbow Bridge, and the thought of him passing on a table without any goodbyes was too much to fathom.

At 1:28p September 29, 2023, Cruiser was showered in love, tears, and the most heart-felt “good boys” as he crossed the Rainbow Bridge 🌈. That transport was devoted to him & the immense impact he had on both of their lives, as well as anyone else who had the honor of meeting him.

In his death, life was given to his legacy. Cruiser’s Legacy.

Please keep our founders in your thoughts and prayers today, especially Emma. Even though so much greatness was brought in the tragedy of his passing, this day will forever mark the day a piece of her soul left this earth. Cruiser stands as a symbol that hope & happiness can be found in the darkest of times; you just have to remember to turn on the light. Cruiser’s Legacy Animal Rescue aims to be the light for babies who are trapped in the darkness.

We love you Cruisey Bruisey. Thank you for loving us & other rescues the way you did. Thank you for teaching us our traumas do not have to define us. Rest easy sweet boy. Tell all of our babies before and after you that we love & miss them.

🐾 $1000 Thursday 🐾

Silas was not happy to hear how ruff things have been lately financially. Between vet visits, food, final pup vaccinations, and upcoming spays & neuters for The 100 pups, CLAR is depleting funds quickly. He’s hoping some of his nice, rescue supporting family will help meet our goal of $1000! This will go to pay off current vet bills, spay & neuter the pups, and ensure all babies in our care don’t miss a meal. 🫶

Don’t forget there are more ways than just donating to support these babies & our mission. Interacting with our posts, sharing, and inviting friends and family to our page is a GREAT way to boost the impact we make!

We are, also, in desperate need of fosters! We cover all expenses, food, and supplies! We just need someone to open their heart and home. 🥰 Below is a link to our foster application for anyone interested in free kisses & snuggles. 🙌

09/19/2024

It is with very heavy, broken hearts that we announce the passing of our sweet Kiah. She passed peacefully being held by her foster mama and our president on Monday afternoon.

Our rescue has been struck with such a terrible, unexpected grief that we put off making this post while we processed everything.

Kiah’s foster mom called Monday morning and told us her abdomen was distended, she was lethargic, and her gums were cold. We immediately got her to the vet where they started her on fluids and did X-rays and an ultrasound which revealed heartbreaking results.

Kiah had a large mass on her spleen (which they believe was causing the fluid in her abdomen), cancer in her lungs, and advanced arthritis that indicated she was around 10 years old when we originally thought she was only 5.

She was not a candidate for surgery and any treatment that could potentially help would have been thousands of dollars and it would not have been fair to put her through it. So ultimately, we decided that her foster mom would go be with her after work and we would let her go peacefully.

Unfortunately about an hour later, her spleen ruptured. We knew she couldn’t wait any longer, so we called her foster mom who immediately left work to say goodbye and be with her as she passed.

This was not the outcome we were expecting and we are heartbroken that our girl didn’t get her happily ever after. With how happy and vibrant she was, we really thought we had saved her in time.

Kiah, we are so sorry. We are sorry we didn’t find you sooner. We are sorry we couldn’t save you. We are sorry you were failed by humans.

Please keep all of us at CLAR in your thoughts and prayers, especially Kiah’s foster mama. Without her, we wouldn’t have been able to give this girl the love she deserved. Even if it was just for 6 days, Kiah left this world knowing what it was like to be loved and cherished.

Fly high sweet girl. Until we meet again. 🌈

🐾Transformation Tuesday🐾

Back in April before CLAR was officially established, our president and vice president found this sweet little girl eating out of a dumpster.

She was extremely malnourished, covered in fleas, anemic, and dehydrated. X-rays showed blockage in her intestines (which she thankfully passed on her own) and an old fracture to her hip (most likely from being hit by a car).

Over the past few months, Emlyn has made big strides to become the healthy, goofy girl that she is now. But she never would’ve had this chance if we didn’t have a foster step up to help her on her journey.

Her foster has dedicated her time to love and care for this sweet girl. She followed her refeeding schedule, worked to build her confidence around people and other dogs, helped her learn basic commands, is currently working with her on her separation anxiety, and has spoiled her with toys, treats, and love.

We were able to give Emlyn the help she needed and love she deserved because someone chose to foster. In order for us to save more babies like her, we need more people to open up their hearts and homes. All expenses are covered by the rescue. Food, supplies, vet care, etc. All we need from you is a loving home to give our babies the time to prepare to find their forever families.

If you are interested in fostering, please fill out the application below. And if you have any questions, please feel free to message us.

We can’t do this without you!!
