There’s just something special about trimming a horse with zero assistance needed and knowing that horse won’t move a bit. Truly well behaved horses are something I don’t see often but when I do, they are my most cherished. I am the only person that has ever touched this mares feet her entire life, she has never had a bad experience and can be trimmed anywhere: stall, pasture, a show. Same horse every time.

Before and after of an emergency goat trim this morning. Curled hooves can cause damage to the joints and musculoskeletal tissues. These goats were not very friendly but I was able to get the job done quickly without stressing the animal.

Did a quick first trim on an 8 month old puppy. Puppy nails are very sharp and she was scratching her elderly owner. She did absolutely fantastic with the dremel.

Does your dogs nails touch the ground and you hear them walking across hard surfaces like tile? If so, the nails are too long. Properly trimmed nails should not make contact with the ground. Did a trim on a miniature horse today. She was very stressed and combative and the safest thing was to lay her down. Laying a horse down is always a last resort for me, but when it is done, I try to do it as easily and low stress as possible. Owner pictured helping calm her while I worked.
