We have a new pet of the month for June! Meet Desi. Here are some fun facts about Desi from his owner:
🐾 Desi became a registered AKC Therapy Dog in May 2023 and has visited courts, hospitals, halfway houses, and more!
🐾 Desi was rescued from North Carolina at 2.5 years old and lives with three sisters (two cats and another dog)
🐾 Desi's favorite human snack is baby carrots (he loves the crunch!)
🐾 Desi loves to be a positive representation of black pit mixes everywhere!

Piglet had came in for some urinary issues. We were all very worried he was blocked, but Dr. Johnston and Dr. Roth teamed up with Amy to express his bladder.

Piglet was fascinated by the ultrasound machine and laid relaxed and perfect for our team.

He still has some concerns to be addressed, but we are happy he is comfortable and stable.

💥 BBQ Safety: Keep grills, hot foods, and skewers out of reach. Pets can easily get burned or injured, so it's best to designate a pet-free zone around the grill.

💥Hydration: Make sure your pets have access to plenty of fresh water, especially if you're spending time outdoors. Dehydration can happen quickly in warm weather.

💥Shade and Shelter: Provide a cool, shaded area where your pets can escape the sun. Overheating is a serious risk, particularly for dogs and cats with thick fur.

💥ID Tags and Microchips: Ensure your pets are wearing up-to-date ID tags and are microchipped. With increased outdoor activities, there's a higher chance of pets getting lost.
