$1956.58 = The cost of saving 3 small breed dogs from parvo. Dogs that the owner didn't vaccinate and that the owner was choosing to euthanize without rescue intervention.
Earlier this week we received a call from one of our veterinary partners, 3 small breed dogs were going to be euthanized because their owner couldn't afford to treat them for Parvovirus. While it was an INCREDIBLY bad business decision on our part, we're a heart driven rescue and our hearts couldn't say no.
Time after time our hearts drive us to fight to save lives while our pocket book screams....NO! ... but we did it and we have 3 beautiful beating hearts to show for it. We still need to get them fixed and vaccinated before we can place them up for adoption (approx $150 each). When we place these kids up for adoption we will be able to recuperate approximately $700 back from the $2400 that we invested to save their lives and get them adoption ready.
