Thumbnail dart enclosure after just a month of growth. ❤️ These guys are starting to drop little clutches left and right!
That is one good looking beast right there. 😍😍😍
~Voodoo.
Bernard being pretty pi**ed that I won’t let him eat our fish.. 😂🙄
❤️🙌
What can I say… our boy likes the pool. So naturally my first thought was to revamp an old Barbie boat for him. 😎
First 3 photos are of Voodoo today and the last 3 are from the day he arrived. Just look at that growth. 😍 I absolutely LOVE this boy.. on top of being incredibly handsome he’s been very docile and quick to trust.
Amen. 🦖

Idk about that.. but it’s def relationship goals over here..

Today we walked into petsmart with Bernard, our bearded dragon. EVERY single employee came over to see him asking how old he was. When I told them he was 10 months old and still just a baby with a lot of growing to do they were shocked! “I didn’t know they get that big!”
One of the employees commented she’d seen one that big before. However, out of 4-5 people in the store 1 of them was aware that the 3 inch long 2-4 week old beardies they have in store for sale CURRENTLY will grow to be little monsters..
This is why so many animals suffer, especially reptiles! These chain stores need to do a better job with training and education.. this is how people are sent home set up to fail.. because these people DONT KNOW HOW TO CARE FOR WHAT THEY’RE SELLING YOU. They don’t even know to tell you that the reptile you’re getting will grow to be 2-3 feet long. They also don’t tell you that he’s going to need to eat bugs… a lot of them.. and that you better start your own breeding colonies if you want to be able to afford your new pet. They don’t tell you that he should have daily greens, but a rotation of them and not just pellets. They might tell you he needs calcium.. but did they tell you how much? Or that he needs calcium some days, other days calcium and d3.. but don’t forget the multivitamin every once in awhile too. Oh, and if you buy the wrong UVB lighting? -which they sell.. He’ll wind up with metabolic bone disease anyway because his lighting isn’t helping him absorb that calcium he needs..
I do think there are some educated employees at these shops. However, a lot of them have basic education that is stilll wrong or lacking in one area or another.
Please don’t be someone that brings a reptile home to suffer slowly because you trusted the pet store and they’re 20 gallon tank they sent you home with.. please do your own research before getting a pet. I can’t tell you how many wonderful reptile groups there are on Facebook with information straight from breeders, vets, rescues and long time keepers. I help run one as well for Chinese Water Dragon care!
Please learn everything you can before bringing home a reptile! I can tell you from experience that it’s never as “easy” as the pet store tells you it’s going to be.
B was not amused that I gave him greens before his bugs today. 😂🙄
Our little sailfin man, Voodoo is officially parasite free! He had 3 weeks of treatment followed by a 3 week waiting period before the vet checked him again. 🙌
Growing like a w**d!
Bernard got his big boy upgrade today. ❤️ He loves it.
Male Ranitomeya Sirensis “Highland”
This pair laid eggs a few days ago. Now he’s found a new bromeliad and has been calling to her all morning. ❤️
B’s first full blown black beard since we’ve had him. 🫣
Today he found out he’s no longer the only bearded dragon in the house.. and he wasn’t about it. 😂
🙌🦖🦕🙌
CAN’T WAIT
Zuko and Zoey get bigger and brighter each day! Despite Zuko’s injuries these kids are a both a great example of healthy young dragons. ❤️
.texas Thank you for the beautiful Queen and her set up! - I’ve already forgotten her species if you could remind me? 😅
If any of you are looking to add variety to your feeders this might be a good stop for you! I’ve always loved ants so the idea of raising my own colony was pretty exciting as well.
The gentleman I spoke with was so knowledgeable and set me up with everything I needed! I thought his prices were very fair as well.
Thanks again!

I’ve seen a lot of questions about handling younger dragons recently and wanted to do a quick video! One thing I forgot to mention is that you never want to come at your dragon from above. This will only confirm to them that you’re a predator. Don’t forget if you ever have questions or need help with your dragon please feel free to PM me. I’m always happy to help!
Sweet girl Nala! When we first brought her home she was impacted with multiple layers of shed and was unable to hold her body up at all! She’s been with us for a few months now and can climb alll over her cage but still twitches and sometimes needs a little help reaching her food. ❤️
Working on our tong feedings and getting more comfortable with me in their enclosure. ❤️ Dragon’s personalities vary just like any other creature and you might not always get what you’re looking for! These guys shouldn’t be expected to be your cuddly best friend.. However, with daily work, time and trust building WITHOUT FORCE you can teach your little guy or gal to be comfortable around you. Starting with daily tong feedings or just working on something with the enclosure door open is a great way to get your dragon curious about you. :)
Last baby of the clutch working their way out at 7am today! That’s a whole 72 hours between the 1st and last baby of the clutch. You never want to rush your eggs or intervene with these guys. They’re quite feisty and if the egg is going to hatch- it will in its own time. ❤️ Happy keeping 🥚
On the smaller side of all her hatchlings and a bit late to the party.. but she makes up for it in attitude. 😂❤️
Just a quick video to show those of you with young females how subtle the body change can be when she’s carrying eggs! When my girl starts digging I pop a 6-10in deep box into the enclosure full of a moist dirt and sand mixture then surround it with foliage and let her do the rest! Since I have a few females, I’ve noticed different laying behaviors. All of them prefer a sandy substrate but one will only lay at ground level, while another lays in potted plants and the other likes to lay high up in her box! It’s good to keep a few options in the enclosure for their first clutch and if you only keep sand in their lay box it will make it easier to identify when she’s started digging… because there will be sand EVERYWHERE. 😂 Happy keeping. 🦎
