🎉 Pet of the Month - December: Riley the Beagle! 🐾

Meet Riley, our adorable and majestic 8-year-old beagle, who’s here to remind us that life is always better with a little chaos and a lot of treats! 🎄🐶

Riley is super food-motivated—if there’s a treat in sight, she’ll do her entire repertoire of tricks before you even ask! Whether it's sit, stay, or the classic “give me your paw,” you better believe she’s already on it. She knows her schedule down to the second—especially when it comes to meal time. Miss a feeding? Oh no, Riley will make sure you remember! She's the queen of punctuality when it comes to snacks.

Aside from her love for food, Riley is a true sun worshipper, stretching out to feel the warmth and letting the wind flap through her big, floppy ears. There's something majestic about the way she lounges in the sun, making everyone around her wonder if they’re witnessing royalty in action.

And, as we head into Christmas, Riley is ready for her holiday treats and cozy naps under the twinkling lights. But don't be fooled—she’ll definitely be checking under the tree for anything she can get her paws on!

Riley, you’re truly a joy, a hilarious ball of energy, and the beagle queen we all adore. Keep living that majestic, treat-filled life! 🎅🎁

🎉 November Pet of the Month: Meet Murphy! 🎉

Murphy is an adorable 11-year-old Cocker Spaniel who stole our hearts at first "sight"! 💖 Just one month ago, this brave boy had cataract surgery and is already back to enjoying life with a clear, bright view! 🌞 He is such a sweet and happy boy, and we are thrilled to be able to help care for him

🎃🐾 October's Pet of the Month: Spooky & Sweet! 🐾🎃

Meet Lynx! Our spook-tacular Pet of the Month is all treats, no tricks! This adorable 2 and a half year old loves chin scratches, watching TV, and is always ready to give paw-tumn cuddles. 🍂🍁

Lynx was found as a stray in her parents hay barn. Little did they know, she was about to be a teen mom! 👻 Lynx turned out to be a wonderful momma cat and still lives with two of her "kittens". She's now spoiled rotten by the whole family, especially her dad! 🧡

Now she's in her heyday instead of living in bales of hay! 🍂🐈‍

We love having Lynx as part of our ECFA family, and we couldn't resist sharing her cuteness with all of you! 🧡

We almost splooted through August without a pet of the month! 🫨

Major Nelson is a 12 and a half year old Pekinese that has been coming to see us since 2019! As you can see from the photos, he's a pretty chill dude. He was the sweetest little crimped ear fluffs and his sploot technique is mastered.😎

Over the years, he's had just about every eye issue we commonly see in pups, but he's a tenacious little man and he now only has to see us a couple times a year. Nothing can stop him from smiling or keep his little ear fluff from crimpin'! 🥰

We always know it's gonna be a good day when Major Nelson is coming our way! 🤩🐶✨

We couldn't just let July fly by without introducing a new pet of the month. Everyone, say hello to Wishbone! 🌠🦴🐶

Wishbone is a very sweet 9-year-old Great Pyrenees mix. He came to see us after developing cataracts from diabetes. Before the cataracts, Wishbone would "smile" when he greeted people. Unfortunately, the cataracts caused him to lose both his vision and his smile. 😢

Luckily for Wishbone, he was an eligible candidate for cataract surgery, and after his successful surgery, he is seeing AND smiling again! He now looks years younger after removing those pesky cataracts.

Wishbone is a very special and loved boy. This ain't his first rodeo with major surgery. In fact, he's lovingly referred to as "The Boat" and "Lambo" because he's racked up quite the medical expenses over the years. If only he knew that he didn't have to develop new problems just to come visit his friends at the doctor's office. 🤔

We are so happy that Wishbone is seeing again, and we hope that we will be the last veterinary specialist he has to see! Keep smiling, Wishy! 😄♥

We hope everyone is having a joyful June so far! Our pet of the month, Raymond, certainly looks pretty happy. 🥰

Raymond has been a patient with us since 2020! We have seen him many times over the years, and he even had cataract surgery on his right eye in September with Dr. Walsh. Raymond has been a star patient and only needs intermittent rechecks with us for monitoring.

Even though Raymond may have gained some more gray on his face since we first met him, he is still a 13-year-young firecracker! He loves a good "sniff-fari" adventure and will never turn down a chance to cuddle.

All of us here at ECFA would love nothing more than a "sniff-fari" followed by a cuddle sesh with Raymond. Thanks for being such a good boy for us! 🐕🐽🩵🌾💐

April showers bring May flowers and our newest pet of the month!

Everyone, give a big hello to a “Little Guy”! He has little paws, little features... He’s little!

Little Guy is a 5-year-old miniature dachshund who has been under the care of Dr. Paglia to monitor his facial nerve paralysis. He developed this issue after an abscess formed around his right eye, leading to subsequent paralysis. But judging by these photos, and even the ones found on his Instagram (), you wouldn’t be able to tell if anything was wrong!

In his free time, Little Guy enjoys indulging in his favorite snacks (roasted chicken and vanilla gelato), being chased with a squeaky toy in his mouth, and traveling! As you see from the picture below, he’s even been to Paris. he’s even been to Paris. All of us here at ECFA believe Little Guy is handsome enough to be in the Louvre!"

Everyone say hello to Max, our pet of the month for April!

Max is a handsome, seven-year-old little man, who recently had cataract surgery with Dr. Shifrin. See that cloudy area in his left eye? That was his cataract starting to develop before he came to see us! He wasn't able to see after his cataracts rapidly developed, but since his cataract surgery was performed in March, Max is seeing again and has a new lust for life! Max has been recovering from surgery beautifully, and he's always so brave for his recheck appointments. He can now see all his toys again- even his favorite, a squeaky squirrel. 🐿❤🐶

We're so happy that you're happy, sweet Max!

The pet of the month for March is Bruce!

Bruce has been seeing us since September of last year. He developed glaucoma in his left eye that wasn't responding to pressure medications and was non-visual. The next best option for him was to remove the eye. Bruce was found to have an issue with his drainage angle in that eye, meaning his other eye would be at risk for glaucoma. However, his right eye was a good candidate for a glaucoma valve placement surgery! He has been recovering wonderfully since his surgery and has been such a good patient at home for his medications.

Although Bruce has had to see us MANY times since his first visit, he always puts on the bravest face for all of his examinations.
Thanks for always being such a good boy, Bruce. You are so loved!

Everyone meet February's pet of the month, Rudy!
Rudy has been seeing Dr. Walsh since October of 2023. He recently had to have his right eye removed due to complications of glaucoma, but he was able to have cataract surgery on his left eye! He has been recovering well since his surgery and he's always in great spirits when he comes to see us.
Thanks for being such a good boy, Rudy! ❤️🐶
