Luna is our longest stay GSD. She has been in foster care for 3.5 years. Luna came to us as a young pup who had been living with her siblings and momma on a farmers ranch. The farmer believed they were dumped.

Luna’s mom and siblings were adopted years ago but our sweet Luna was still working on living in our human world.

She can still be anxious in public settings and with new people but she is THRIVING in her foster home.

Do you have a low traffic home? Are you looking for a wonderful companion shepherd to give you cuddles and go on walks with? Luna is your gal!

Our honorary shepherd, Two-Eighty-Three, is 6 months old and available for adoption🐾

He’s currently living on a ranch with lots of other animals. He’s very smart and very sweet.

We expect him to grow up to be a small to medium sized pup.

Huge call to foster action.
The Austin German Shepherd Dog Rescue is trying to save the lives of EIGHT THREE WEEK old puppies from Forth Worth. The shelter will euthanize them TOMORROW BY 5PM if no one steps up to save them.

We committed to taking on two of them, and another foster committed to taking one. Which means FIVE URGENTLY need people to foster. Please, if you can foster one, or more of these babies let me know ASAP and I can get you in touch with my AGSDR friend.

Capiro is one of our long stay German Shepherds. He’s been in foster care for almost 2 years (1 year and 8 months). He’s a big guy and weighs 108 pounds. He enjoys car rides but much prefers to stay home.

He does wonderful with the 2 resident shepherds (a male and female). He can be guarded with human strangers and will require a home that can allow him proper introductions with new people.

He is very cuddly and enjoys sunbathing on the patio. He’s had the same foster family the entirety of his time with AGSDR and they love him dearly. He’s crate trained and knows simple commands like “crate time” “let’s go” and “no”.

Just your daily reminder that Grace is STILL available for adoption! We have had absolutely no interest in her
Grace has spent far more time in a shelter than any animal should ever have to spend in a shelter.
She is a senior dog, needs to be the only animal, but loves with her whole heart and is truly a fantastic companion! You can check out more of her information on our "Dogs for Adoption" album on Facebook, or check out her very own profile on our ECHS website!

Han is approximately 1.5 years old. He has a temp foster while he recovers from his neuter surgery but will need a permanent foster placement soon.

Eve is an extremely high energy 10 mo puppy who needs a very active foster home or adopter who is a strong leader with German Shepherd experience.

We are looking for a foster home for Eve with an active owner who will commit to the time and energy needed in keeping Eve active with both physical and mental exercise where she will thrive and be happy.

At this time, it is unknown if Eve is small dog/cat friendly.

We will provide updates about our beautiful girl as we learn more 🐾
