These babes need families! If you can and are looking, please help.

It's been a month since the Christmas puppies were found on the doorstep of a mobile home in the freezing cold. A month since we rescued these 7 puppies, and only one (Gizmo) is in a foster home. The rest are living in a room in Wimberley Kennel, kept apart from the other dogs and provided socialization, attention, and care by the owner and our volunteers. It's not enough!

These puppies need and deserve homes. They are all friendly with people of all ages and with other dogs. They've all had two rounds of vaccines, including rabies vax, and need one more booster, but they are ready to go to homes!

Foster-to-adopt, or just foster for a few weeks and help them find homes! We have an adoption event next Saturday at Tomlinson's Feed on Whitestone Blvd in Cedar Park and they can all attend if we can find volunteers and fosters to get them there.

PLEASE!!!! Bang on your hood and sound the horn before starting your car this winter....you may have a passenger under the hood trying to keep warm, and they can be seriously injured or killed when the car starts up....

It’s been a minute since I’ve posted anything. . . All is good here just busy busy.

Started to study for a Veterinary Assistant certification and keeping busy with pet care along with martial arts.

I am super excited I got to see an ole friend Oso today and meet his pal. They are a great couple of puppers.

Mainly taking pet care gigs in Dripping Springs but if you’re in Austin and in need Monday/Wednesday/Friday I may be available.

It's crazy how some dogs wait so long and have one deadline after another before finally finding their forever home, while others get scooped up immediately. We were asked to save Timmy just before Thanksgiving last year. He was in danger of being killed in the San Antonio pound, and we saved him in the nick of time. He had to go to boarding at a vet's office over Thanksgiving because with so many people traveling, we couldn't find a foster in time.

And that has been the story of Timmy's life with us. He lost one foster home because his foster had surgery, and he's losing another because his foster will be traveling, starting at Labor Day.

TIMMY IS A LOVE! He needs to be the only pet and needs a fenced yard, and when those requirements are met, he is easy. He's a healthy senior, mellow and easygoing. He will let you know if someone's at the door, but he sees no need to bark his head off at every little thing. He will hang out with you while you work, or do chores, or read or watch TV, and he will entertain you with a few minutes of play in the yard when you're ready for some fresh air.

If your last dog has died and you're ready for another, Timmy just might be your guy. If you're not a huge "dog person," but you have a junior high or high-school age kid who is, how about fostering Timmy to see how it goes?

Timmy's losing his foster home in a couple of days. He needs an Austin, Texas area home ASAP.

T-minus 2 days to our Clear the Shelters event!!

Our goal is to adopt out 100 dogs - you heard that right, 100!

When you adopt from Austin Animal Center on Saturday, you will be saving two lives:

1. The pet you adopt

2. The pet who now has a kennel

We have over 60 dogs staying in crates right now. Please help us make Saturday a resounding success!

Austin Animal Center is located at 7201 Levander Loop and we open at 9 am on Saturday morning.

Free at last! Tucker was locked up at Austin Animal Center from May 28 until today. In all that time, he only got out of his kennel twice.

We need to give him a chance to recover from kennel stress and see what he needs, and then he’ll need a foster or adopter. Right now, we need to board him and that has a cost. When we rescued Rocky the German Shepherd, he immediately needed over $1000 in vet care, and donations did not cover that cost. Now we have Tucker, tomorrow we need to pick up Re*****on and still need a safe place for him. We are killing ourselves trying to make up for callous shelter leadership while we advocate for reform that cannot come soon enough.

It’s me again, Timmy. I’ve been waiting for a home since there was green in the grass. One person after another has offered me temporary foster and discovered what a good boy I am. But none can keep me. My current foster placement ends in two weeks.

I’m about 10 years old, 60-65 pounds, healthy and easygoing. I need to be the only pet and I need a fenced yard somewhere in the Austin, Texas area. I’m just fine being home alone while everyone’s at work and school. I like to snooze. And I’m so happy to see everyone when you get home. But I’m not a pest about it. I just like being part of a family. Like I said, my foster placement ends in two weeks.

What will happen to me?

This little girl has been seen hopping around Farmington for the past week, likely dumped by a former owner. Some friendly folks were finally able to safely catch her! We have named her Adira for her strength and perseverance. She has engorged tick bites on her face and needs immediate veterinary care.
