Cavaletti Betty! One of the many exercies we do here at Austin Canine Rehab are the cavalettis poles! Stepping over cavalettis is a great exercise to work on range of motion, coordination, and weight bearing. The poles can help re-teach your furry friend to pick up their feet more when walking and imporve their gait pattern which helps with injury prevention!

"Thank you Sonia-Austin Canine Rehab, I am very pleased to have made my decision in choosing Austin Canine Rehab (ACR). I foster for Austin Bulldog Rescue and they recommended ACR, but also asked me to take my foster Bentley, a French bulldog, into a local rehab hospital for an evaluation. Bentley had recently undergone surgery for IVDD. The therapist worked on him for 30 minutes during the evaluation, demonstrating each exercise. Two days later Bentley experienced a large seroma above his incision. It was at that point I chose to seek out Rehab with ACR. During their evaluation Sonia demonstrated exercises, proper stretching, sensitivity pressure points, and how to apply massages to his overworked front legs/shoulders. In addition, Sonia worked with Bentley using an agility cone course and uneven mats which assisted Bentley with his balance. When visiting with ACR she not only demonstrated all that was previously mentioned, but she also provided a canine anatomy lesson. This equipped me with the tools to help Bentley in between his appointments, such as but not limited to, shorter walks, proper feeding, and using harness as opposed to a collar. The additional benefit, is that ACR is mobile and provides appointments in my own home and that is flexible to my schedule. In the end, Bentley recovered the IVDD surgery and WALKED AWAY with flying colors. For Bentley’s continued success, I will resume using ACR under their wellness program. We both thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your dedication and expertise in providing the absolute best care of Bentley. ❤️ "
