T'was the night before Christmas and all though the house, not a human was stirring....we were out feeding hungry street kitties (and some street dogs). Santa Claus comes once a year but we feed community cats all 365 days.

We often say "If you feed it, fix it". That is even more important this time of year when all the stray females are going into heat. If you are feeding a "community cat" please make sure she is spayed and vaccinated before she has babies under your home or hedges. This sleepy girl is safe and happy after being TNR'd. (Trapped/neutered/returned). It's funny how calm and affectionate they can become afterwards. We have so many cases like this. It is a myth that feral cats can't be tamed.

We've been quiet lately and this is why. We've been busy doing TNR Trap Neuter and Return These are the last 4 of a colony of 24 kitties. They will be spayed and neutered today. So many litters prevented. Happy day

Free spay/ neuter coming to NW Austin. If you are feeding a stray kitty this would be an excellent time to get it spayed/neutered.

What is this? It is the first 4 kitties of a colony of 22 cats who would have been having kittens soon. There are 17 females. So if every female had 5 or 6 kittens in a few months it would have been a nightmare. Especially with a very busy street nearby. They aren't very happy tonight. But tomorrow their reproduction days will be over. They are very lucky cats.

Louise is 5 months old, very sweet and cuddly and loves to do cat yoga. 🐱 She would bring joy and good vibes to her new person.
