***FOSTERS DESPERATELY NEEDED***

The dog from earlier was dumped in Beebe outside of city limits so no shelter covers it. We will be reporting the person we know dumped it.

We. Have. No. Space.

We aren’t exaggerating. We truly don’t.

He has been secured tonight by the finder but has to have somewhere to go by tomorrow. IF YOU CAN FOSTER FOR US- NOW IS THE TIME!

If you don’t currently have a dog we will beg and plead with you to foster one of our dogs that are not dog friendly but are amazing with humans and even potty trained. They’re GREAT dogs but just need to be the only dog. That would be the absolute best way to help us.

***POST-ADOPTION PUPDATE: JELLYBEAN***

Jellybean, now named Pinky, has been adopted and enjoying her new life for 2 weeks now. Her family messaged us this update:

“Two week check in. We have been
Calling her Pinky. We are in love 😍. She and Marley have been playing together so well. She goes out when Marley goes out and she hasn't had any accidents in the house. She loves to sit with me in the recliner when I'm reading and she enjoyed the sunshine this afternoon in the front pet yard. And she gets along with our old cat soooo well. They are so cute together.”

Jellybean was discarded, heavily pregnant, and alone. She birthed and nursed 6 beautiful puppies and were so thankful that she gets this kind of a life now ❤️. She definitely deserves it!

We can’t make stories like this happen without the support of fosters, volunteers, donors, and of course adopters. Thank you to everyone that helps even in the smallest of ways to support our mission. It truly does matter and we can make a difference together. 🫶

Poppy, now Sugar, is doing great in her new home! We love to see our puppies thriving 😃

There are two of Sugar’s sibling still available and they’re just as fluffy and cuddly as she is 🥹

***PUPDATE: YIN YANG***

We just got a message that Yin Yang is doing well this evening! He’s taking his meds, managed to walk up and down the stairs, and is enjoying one of the bones we sent with him. He’s having some supervised out of crate time and enjoying being out of this weather. ❤️

Thank you again to everyone who donated toward his unexpected medical bill. He’s a very good natured dog and will hopefully make a full recovery ❤️.

We’re painfully full. This sweet dog was at the cemetery in Lonoke abandoned and starving. Kayla is sick. I’m at a wedding. Kayla went anyway. In the dark. In the rain. To a cemetery.

Kayla is a badass.

***FOUND DOGS - COURTESY POST- These dogs are not under JAK’s care***

These babies were found yesterday near the Cache River boat ramp in Tupelo, AR. If anyone has any information about who they belong to or if there is a rescue that has space to help her out with networking them please let us know. Thank you. ❤️

***UPDATES, THANK YOUS, and RECEIPTS***
I just want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to Polly Shore and the Jacksonville Animal Hospital staff for taking such great care of Yin Yang. On a holiday week it’s hard to find clinics that are open and staffed and I knew when we got the call for Yin Yang that it wasn’t going to be easy.

Polly has helped us many times. From helping us get dogs moved north when we originally branched off and started our own rescue, to advice and mentorship, to checking availability when we didn’t have any at our typical vet. Her friendship and kindness is quite literally invaluable.

We also have to thank the lonoke county sheriffs office. After losing Oakley, the last dog that had severe injuries from a random attack, we had asked them to please have officers call us if there was ever a dog’s life in significant danger and at least check and see if we could help. This time they did and thankfully because of all your support we were able to make a literal life saving difference in this dog’s story.

So thank you Polly, JAH, Lonoke County Sheriffs, and all of you for coming together to make this happen. We cannot do this alone but when we all come together we can make miracles happen.

Yin Yang will have a follow-up appointment once his meds are finished. We plan to get his shots done and get him neutered once he’s better. Some of you were concerned about an attack happening again. We have asked law enforcement to remind the dog owners in the area to keep their animals secured and we also will be going over next week to setup a secured fenced area for Yin Yang to use when he does have to go outside. We will do everything we can to keep him safe.

He was microchipped today and given a collar with a Jaks ID tag. Welcome to the family sweet boy!

He’s very much in pain but thankfully none of his injuries are life threatening and he has no broken bones! He loves to be pet and even asked for belly rubs. He’s a very sweet natured boy 😊

***VET UPDATE: YIN YANG***

After a night of pain meds and antibiotics they sedated him and did a thorough bath, X-rays, and exam and thankfully nothing is broken! Hallelujah!

We are sending home a large crate to keep him safe, a VERY cushy bed to recover on, food, meds, etc. Every time I go to setup a family to help the next dog I am truly humbled by the generosity of our followers. We can’t do what we do without you. So thank you so much. ❤️

This boy has got to be feeling better and we will keep you updated! 🫶

***PUPDATE: HOLLY***
Holly LOVES her toys. She’s so gentle with them and absolutely runs to get one everytime you walk in the kitchen in hopes that you’ll throw it so she can hop after it happily. She’s a sweet gentle girl who is healing up! She’s had all her shots and will be scheduled for a spay once her skin is all healed up. ❤️

She has done great with potty training and is definitely cat and dog friendly. She would do great with children as well. She’s gentle and doesn’t nip.

She definitely has a hound-like howl when she sees someone coming up the driveway from the window. She doesn’t let anyone sneak up on us 😃.

***ADOPTION ANNOUNCEMENT: BUSTER!***

Buster (middle) is officially a foster fail! His family said he’s found his place with them!! They call him Wilson now and are going to love him forever 🥹. He had his front left leg amputated following a gunshot wound to the shoulder girdle. His foster family had been there all along helping him heal and grow and learn to do life on 3 legs! We are happy to report that he is doing amazing!

Peaches, left, is still being fostered in the same household. She came in after Buster. She is deaf but doesn’t let that slow her down! They report she is a good girl! Cat, kid, and dog friendly and very playful. She is still looking for her forever home!

Huge thank you to his family for adopting and for continuing to foster for us! We truly cannot do what we do without foster families and we are extremely grateful for their dedication and love. 💜

Despite efforts to find an owner, Luna was never reclaimed. She was evaluated by the vet and brought up to date on vaccinations. She will be the only spoiled pet for her new family 🥹

From losing his owner and sitting in a shelter confused and alone to sleeping on a bed in a hotel and sharing some takeout 🥹🥹 welcome to rescue Copper 🫶

Those of you who have followed Hope since the beginning know she LOVES eggs. They’re one of her favorite things 😁. She once knocked an entire basket of farm fresh eggs off my counter and helped herself 🫣🫣. This egg was laid by one of my chickens on the concrete today for some reason so I knew it was fresh. It had a small crack in it so I didn’t want to feed it to my kids but it made a perfect toy/treat for Hope. Look how she licks it to get some of the egg whites and how gentle she is with it. She played with it for a long time after this video! 😂

Holly is here and she went straight for the food 😅. She’s so sweet and happy to be out of the shelter!

I really tried to talk a family into getting two puppies today, but it didn't work. So, I'm going to guilt all of YOU! 🤭😏❤️🐾
