I can’t even describe the smell. And you wouldn’t want me to. This definitely isn’t what I had planned for the evening but we don’t get to schedule when dogs need us and she definitely needs us. ❤️

**update: Novastar rescue is going to take her tomorrow so Im going to go ahead and get her tonight and get her cleanup started and take her tomorrow. Still looking for an owner but she needs help regardless ❤️ thank you Novastar Rescue!

This is a courtesy post, we do not have possession of this dog but if you’ve seen any lost posters looking for her please let us know. The finders are keeping her contained and offering food and water but she is not microchipped and had no ID tag. She did have a collar. Proof of ownership and description of her collar will be required to reclaim.

***‼️‼️CALL TO ACTION: HELP NEEDED‼️‼️***

There is a situation in Saline County needing rescue immediately. Like today. Soon. It looks to be very similar to the conditions we encountered on April 12 😮‍💨 but fewer dogs (estimating 15).

Many are sitting in their own raw sewage and have absolutely no way to get out of it. They do have food and water but I’m unsure about air conditioning (probably unlikely).

This is going to be dirty and nasty. I also do not have the ability to intake all of these dogs. Especially without fosters signing up now and being willing to truly stick it out because I can’t take the dog back from you in a week when it gets hard. I won’t have anywhere to put them.

If you’re a local rescue able to assist and have intake capabilities please let us know. If you’re willing to foster (and be responsible and committed) please apply here so we know if we even have the manpower to start this job. Because once I go in I’m getting everything out and not leaving anything behind in that environment.

The owner of these dogs has given rescuers permission to enter the property and remove them so that’s at least something to be thankful for.
