🐾 Attention Pet Parents! 🐾

With the cold snap heading our way, it’s important to keep your furry friends safe! 🧊❄️ Extreme cold can be just as dangerous for pets as it is for us, so here are some reminders to protect them over the next few days:

1️⃣ Limit Outdoor Time: Frostbite and hypothermia can happen quickly in freezing temperatures. **Our time outside with your pets will be cut short for their safety, so please plan ahead for their potty breaks and exercise needs!

2️⃣ Bundle Up: Pets with short fur or who are older may benefit from cozy coats or sweaters.

3️⃣ Paw Protection: Ice, salt, and snow can harm sensitive paws. Wipe them off after walks to avoid irritation and check for cracks or cuts.

4️⃣ Keep Them Cozy Indoors: Make sure your pets have a warm, draft-free spot to rest. Outdoor shelter, if necessary, should be insulated and elevated to stay dry and warm.

5️⃣ Be Cautious with Antifreeze: It’s toxic to pets and has a sweet smell that may attract them. Clean up spills immediately and store it securely.

6️⃣ Hydration is Key: Pets still need plenty of water in winter! Check outdoor bowls frequently to ensure they aren’t frozen.

We know how much our pets love their outside time, but their health and safety come first. Let’s keep them cozy and comfortable as the temperatures drop! Stay safe, everyone! 🐕🐾🐈
