I was recently berated by a pet owner that my dog was too skinny……… Meanwhile her hippo golden retriever gets all the snacks and is a baby who needs snuggles! Wake up!!!! Overweight dogs are actually being abused! Your dog needs you to be a leader, not a pamperer……..

Meet Mr Charlie! He belongs to the chairmen of the board for the “Warrior Dog Foundation!” The absolute BEST golden I’ve ever worked with! Basically a Mal that looks like a golden retriever!

Around 530 I got a call from my buddy who works for Avon Police Department, I grabbed my bite suit and drove up to the area. I assisted in capturing these four dogs, the first night keeping officers in deputies and animal control people safe while wearing my bite suit. I was heartbroken that we had to leave one of the 5 pack out there alone to fend for herself without her litter mates in the cold, freezing rain.

Today around 1230 I finished my last lesson and went back to the location to see if I could help find the dog. I was able to supply some high value raw food in the trap and then the dog went in and Bam we Got her!

All of the dogs are recovering and safe and warm and being fed and treated at the Eagle county animal shelter. They are all way more calm than they were the day before and will probably be able to be adopted in the coming weeks.

Was very greatful to be called by Avon Police Dept, to assist in my bite suit for a pack of dumped aggressive dogs! I was able to catch 2 myself with a catch pole and help assist and advise to catch the rest! Sadly one is still missing ram off into open space in mountains, alone from his pack in the rain and cold. Breaks my heart scumbags would do this!
