BELLONA UPDATE- we went into our vet for a possible body cavity injection but he told us that those do not come without risk. He was so impressed by her improvement from sub Q fluids and syringe feeding that he wants me to just continue the fluids under the skin. He believes she should make a full recovery. She has also begun panacur, a dewormer, since this is all parasite related.

GORBAX UPDATE- i diagnosed him pretty spot on. Gorbax does NOT have ADV and he was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy, MBD, and a moderate respiratory infection. He has started the antibiotics already. He will continue on serrapaste and CBD for the dystrophy. Doc believes he’ll have a good life.

I’m so sorry for my lack of updates. We have been dealing with a huge emergency and potentially devastating news.
Nacho is one of our rescue dogs, he had been running a fever and both his white and red blood cells are abnormal and his platelets are extremely worrisomly low. There is a large possibility he has leukemia.
he is only 8 years old. Please pray for our nacho.

Serrapaste and good ol cbd. Seems to be helping our gorbax a lot. He’s finally taking it well. Giving meds/supplements isn’t always easy, as you can see. I don’t like to force it if possible.
we believe gorbax has the following conditions-
•muscular dystrophy

•neurological disorder
•possible respiratory infection
•gout

We’ve had a thanksgiving miracle! Gorbax had a stuck s***m plug. It came out and his beard has been light gray instead of black ever since!! Hooray!!! And i think the serrapaste and CBD are making a big difference.

Eugina update- has NOT pr*****ed again since the incident. This is PHENOMENAL! She’s continuing her antibiotics, anti inflammatory, and syringe diet. Testing for parasites next bowl movement. So so so happy. (Knock on wood)

Medusa update- she’s holding her head pretty dang sideways most of the time. Appetite is still good and still on antibiotics for the meningitis. Praying it’s nothing more, may start an anti inflammatory after consulting with my vet. Keep her in your prayers 🙏🏻

We need prayers for Eugena and if you can donations. She just had a colcial prolapse it went back in, but she’s going to be sedated and have sutures put in to prevent it from happening again. Anything helps this is an absolute emergency and unforeseen. We are worried sick it just happened and we need to get this fixed as soon as possible. We’ve been quoted around 400-500. I can’t believe this is happening but we need to make sure she’ll be OK. We’re on our way to the vet now.

I just wanted to voice something. Rescuing. I love what i do. I would NEVER EVER change it. Every aspect i have no regrets for what i chose.
But it does come with a lot of worry. A lot of stress. A lot of panic attacks. loss. Mourning. Always checking. Always stressing about the special needs cases especially.
It come with a lot to carry on your shoulders.
But the lives? the lives i can help? even the cases where i just to make them comfortable and feel love and warmth and contentment when it’s their time? It makes all those thoughts melt away. Rescuing is not easy. It’s not always rainbows and sunshine. Sometimes there are rainy days and storms. But i wouldn’t change it for anything.

Guys, meet KoKo! She’s an African sideneck turtle. She’s 15 years old, and yes she’s a bit obese. Don’t worry we started a diet! Just was extra spoiled! Family couldn’t keep her anymore due to personal reasons so she’s now here set up in my room. Once settled she’ll be our aquatic ambassador! KoKo we’re so excited to have you here! Medusas first baytril shot, already showing signs of improvement!

Medusa has another infection. On Friday she got a body cavity injection and started antibiotics. We’re going back right now for another body cavity injection and baytril (antibiotics) She’s been through so much, 20% chance of survival and still here. She does have brain damage from extreme exposure of pneumonia, and has begun having slight seizures. We believe this is a result of the infection. Being a super senior i asked what we should do and this is the option we felt was best for her as she’s not ready to part from our world to paradise yet. Hang on Medusa. You got this. Cookie told us she isn’t ready! She got an antibiotic shot to fight off any type of infection and fluids with glucose to help her perk up. She’s going back for another body cavity this afternoon.

Warrior has made so so much improvement, we’d love to get a recheck at our exotic specialist veterinarian on Thursday to ensure he’s doing as good as we believe. We’d also love to get some X-rays done to double check nothing is out of place. We are so proud of this little man!
