UPDATE:
Alright! Lately the Focus at All Things Aquatics has been to pour into those who have been inspired by what we do on a daily basis! THANK YOU to EVERYONE who played a part in achieving our summer goals! I can assure you guys that we will continue to do more events and education programs as we continue to grow! With that being said It’s only JULY and it only gets better from here💙🐠.

DID YOU KNOW!

Like desert plants, mangroves store fresh water in thick succulent leaves. A waxy coating on the leaves of some mangrove species seals in water and minimizes evaporation. Small hairs on the leaves of other species deflect wind and sunlight, which reduces water loss through the tiny openings where gases enter and exit during photosynthesis.

All things aquatics will featured in this year’s CanoeMobile ”Floating Classroom” event in the DC AREA!! We are extremely excited to be able to connect students to both Marine and feshwater ecosystems through aquariums and a few hands on activities! So this month All Things Aquatics will be heading to the DC area to take part in Wilderness Inquiry’s Canoemobile Program, which is a “floating classroom” that brings students out on local waterways to learn about science, history, geography, and culture. We will be connecting both Salt and freshwater through a variety of activities and even a surprise touch tank!
