❗2024 SPRING LITTER❗

I have a 2024 Spring litter in the works for Beulah. I'm currently choosing between two sires. Both sires are champions, and health tested. We would expect short or long coats.

I will have a more detailed announcement when I have finally chosen the sire.

One of the attributes I love most about Beulah is her front (chest & angulation). Front assemblies are incredibly important. Without a correct front, you can have dogs reaching from the elbow, which is inefficient. Efficient movement is vital for working as livestock guardians or as property guardians. It is also vital to help prevent the dog from breaking down as they age.

Fronts are easy to lose when breeding, and can take generations to correct.

Form follows function - a dog's structure should ALWAYS allow it to perform the function it is bred for. You will find that dogs who remain strong and functional as veterans, are dogs that have structure that support their function.

I adore my puppy owners! Jen and Pandora have been doing amazing, and make a great team! I'm proud of them, and the way Jen is shaping Pandora to be her best self!

As a bonus, blep. Panda is the blepper of the litter and has been from the very start! It's a trait I'm glad stuck around; it's beyond adorable. Good luck getting a serious face out of her though 🤣

Wow! To celebrate his birthday, Bondrewd and his owner Nyx went and got their first title!

Pending confirmation, he is now Guardian's Night Wandering Dagger ✨RATN✨ which is a breed first here in the United States! No other Caucasian Shepherd has titled in barn hunt before!

Yay Bondrewd! Happy birthday, buddy, and good job getting those rats.

Happy birthday to the Moth litter!! I can't believe it's been a whole year since you came into the world!

I'm so proud of each and every one of these puppies and their owners.

Guardian Angel's Jeweled Satyr "Satyr" - as of TODAY, is now a livestock guardian on a small hobby farm! He has already defended his flock from a fox, too!

Guardian Angel's Dusky Pearl "Eliana" is a delightful family guardian and well loved by her family. She is devoted to them wholly, and is their constant companion.

Guardian Angel's Mountain Beauty "Pandora" is also a family guardian for her folk, and also has a chinchilla friend who feeds her hay through the bars of his enclosure! She regularly guards their senior border collie, ensuring her safety from strange dogs that have threatened her previously.

Guardian's Night Wandering Dagger "Bondrewd" is a family guardian and part time LGD for flocks of chicken and duck. He also has fun dabbling in barn hunt, and also tracks down rat nests on his property!

And lastly, thank you to my partner Sean for joining me in these dog adventures. And to Steve and Stina Beckerman, who helped me with Reka's whelping 🥰

Pandora went on an adventure with her owner today! These guys are in peak teen adolescence, so they go out regularly to reinforce training.

Pandora here is sitting calmly with her owner, being non-reactive as she observes strange dogs that are ignoring her.

I love my puppy owners!

Training your Caucasian Shepherd is very, very important and making sure they are neutral and under control in public is utmost priority. There is no threat here, so Panda is expected to remain calm, and she is!

Congratulations to Nyx, Wess and Bondrewd for two Qualifying runs in Barn Hunt!

On top of qualifying and taking first and second in the respective trials, Bonbon has already applied skills from Barn Hunt to his family's hobby farm by leading them directly to a wild rat's nest that they were previously unable to find!

I'm continually impressed by these puppies and their owners. And I could babble all day 🤣

Today, Bondrewd, Guardian Angel's Night Wandering Dagger, had his first ever barnhunt practice! He is a born natural! On a practice Novice run, he was flawless, and let his owner know with a determined paw touch exactly where the rat was 🥰

We have some amazing news regarding Satyr.

Between talking with our veterinary surgeon, and other breeders and owners of dogs with congenital elbow luxation, we have come to the decision that Satyr is ready to find a home.

This boy is Guardian Angel's Jeweled Satyr, born May 26, 2022. He does have congenital elbow luxation. He will always have a limp, and a weird gate, but it doesn't affect how he plays, or his general quality of life (yay!).

He is being placed with no charge, but, he is going to be under a strict no breeding contract, and anybody who is interested must still go through my application process.

Satyr from the Moth litter (Guardian Angel's Jeweled Satyr) has been doing phenomenal with us. We have been working with a veterinary surgeon in regards to his displaced radial head, and have another check-in soon. Cross your fingers for us that he's cleared to be placed!

As is, he's maturing into a handsome boy. I'm proud of where he is and how he's coming along. He sounds so much like his mother that when they're outside together, it's almost impossible to tell their barks apart!

He took after her in so many mannerisms and looks as well. Reka sure said copy + paste!

Bondrewd, our littlest boy that had to have the double ulna ostectomy, is living the best life! His legs will always be a lil' wonky, and his crop isn't quite proper, but he's the perfect match for his family.

Breeding never goes according to plan.... But it is our job as breeders to give our puppies the best life possible.

Here he is in downtown on a busy Friday night, getting much needed socialization and training to help him become a functional and well-trained adult!

I'm beyond proud of him, and his owners 🥰

On Halloween weekend, Arkasa and I went to NJ for a LGRA meet! LGRA is a sighthound only organization and is straight racing a 200yd course with up to 4 dogs at once. Here at GACS we added a wonderful Silken Windhound puppy back in September, so we went up to introduce her to the boxes!

I decided, why not bring Arkasa and let him have some fun during practice runs? He loves the lure and a 200yd run would be lots of fun.

Well, I think he had some fun!!

We do also, thankfully, have some happy news to report!

Bondrewd (Bonbon.... I'm calling him that) is settling wonderfully into his new home. He is settling into his role as a solid family guardian, and also a part-time LGD for his family's flock of geese!
....though, geese by themselves are terrifying. Geese with a Caucasian Shepherd by their side? They're gonna rule the world.

Bonbon is Guardian's Night Wandering Dagger. He is our puppy that we initially held back for medical reasons; his radius was growing half the speed of his ulna. This was suspected as a weirdly early-onset HOD, and was treated as such. He had a double ulna ostectomy back in August, and he was able to go home at the beginning of October. And, the surgery worked! His radius is slowly catching up.

This litter is certainly having it's ups and downs.... But the ups far out weight the downs

On Monday, we got some pretty terrible news :(

Satyr has a dislocated radial head in his left leg. We don't know when it happened, or how, and it could range all the way from birth to a couple months ago. Absolutely no one is to blame.

We are setting up a surgeon consult to figure some things out and look at what options may exist for Satyr. Cross your fingers that there's feasible options.

In the meantime... He's such a happy, sweet boy. He takes after his mother so much, and despite the dislocation, he STILL wants to run and play. We limit him, of course, but knowing he is in pretty severe pain and pushing through definitely breaks my heart.

This is a hard post to make, and one no breeder ever enjoys making.

We had a couple of medical anomalies in this litter. Both of our boys in the litter ended up with hypertrophic osteodystrophy, also known as HOD.

HOD is a developmental joint issue that as of yet has no known cause. It causes inflammation in the joints and the biggest risk is uneven growth between the ulna and radius.

Our boy, Guardian Angel's Jeweled Satyr, is back up for placement. This was a joint decision due to the HOD developing, and his family expressly looking for a show quality dog.

Please let me know if you have any interest in this boy as a companion/ family guardian.

Due to this being a medical placement, this is of very high priority to me. He is being placed without charge, but you must go through my normal application process.

Are these the most professional photos? Absolutely not! Do they portray Wander's personality? Yeahhh.

Mud covered, and not caring where or how he sleeps. Inside the food dish is fine. Sister eating his ear? That's okay too. Spots of mud on him? That's called fun!

Pups had a big day today, after all! They got to watch some armored combat sport practice today! Men and women in medieval, combat rated armor and blunted (but still very powerful) weapons smacking each other quite happily. F

The puppies didn't care. Went right up to our armored fighters and asked for pets and belly rubs! When the team was de-armoring, Eliana (formerly Dusk), grabbed a pair of chausses and took off with them! We rescued them from her, much to her disappointment, so she dragged around the gallon jug of water instead.

He is out of my Moth litter born 5/26/2022. GrCH Bairak Azskas Arkadiy CGC x CH Hranitel Gor Shahe CGC FDC U-CA

He is available to a companion home as a family guardian on a no breeding contract. He is very handler focused, loves his people, and loves the outdoors. He has shown interest in water, too!

His ears will likely and hopefully stand, but they were left a little long with the crop.
