Dear friends, our dear momma dog Luna has surprised us with an unexpected litter of five Labrador/ Shepherd mix pups. Luna got loose during travel and had a secret love affair.

She has been an excellent mom to her previous pups and this litter has proven to be just as loving and adorable as their mom!

Born June 30th, the pups are now 7weeks old and will be available for rehoming early September. We have three males and two females (pics attached).

We are hosting a puppy meet and greet at Patterson park this Saturday Aug 27th.

These events have helped us socialize the pups to strangers which fosters a better dog-human bond.

We are committed to finding each pup a loving forever home. Please message me for more information if you are ready to care for your new best friend!

Separation anxiety is a problem many puppies experience when coming to their new home.

Considered to be the dog equivalent of a panic attack, excessive whining, barking, and chewing are all signs of separation anxiety and can only get worse if not corrected with training.

Punishing your pup when you return often increases their anxiety level, rather than correcting the behavior. It is not behavior that should be ignored, nor should it be expected that the pup will “grow out of it” without your support.

Crate training is a great way to help your pup feel secure when you are away. Just be sure to keep the crate a positive place with favorite toys, and not a punishment place.

This article from the American Kennel Club gives great tips for correcting separation anxiety.

Top tips are:

“Exercise your dog vigorously before you leave. This allows your dog to rest well in your absence.

Leave “activities” to keep your dog occupied. Examples include a safe chew toy, or an interactive game where your dog works to get a treat out of a puzzle.

Provide training while you’re home. Leave the dog for a few seconds, come back into the house, and reward him for quiet, calm behavior. Add a few seconds at a time. Although this process does work, it requires a lot of patience; and if you try to add too much time at once, it won’t work.”

Heading out with our fluffy crew to Patterson Park!

Our Huskadorables are excited for extra attention from their adoring public, and to go home to their forever families :-)

Our pups have definitely enjoyed rough housing with each other, and every so often I let my toddler in the mix so they are accustomed to not biting small children.

He loves playing with the pups and they enjoy the special attention ;-)

Providing proper medications for parasites and insects can literally save your puppy’s life!

We vaccinate and deworm our puppies and older dogs regularly. One of the top concerns for puppies is the parvovirus. This deadly virus exists in soil and can lay dormant for decades. The best way to protect your pup is to assume all outdoor spaces where other dogs have been are hazardous until your pup has finished the parvo vaccination series at age 16weeks.

Growing up on a farm, we had strays on our property which infected our soil without our knowledge. One year we lost five out of a litter of six pups from parvo. Even if you catch the infection early, treatment is costly and pups have at best a 50/50 chance of survival. Save yourself the heartache and be sure to only let your puppy outside in clean spaces.

For more information, read https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/health/what-every-puppy-owner-needs-to-know-about-parvo-in-puppies/

Though our current litter was born in the winter, springtime weather will bring hungry fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes back. It’s simple to deworm your pup regularly to kill the various types of intestinal worms transmitted by touching infected f***s and getting flea bites.

Heart worms are a deadly parasite to dogs and cats transmitted by mosquito bites. Only your vet can screen your pup for infection, give preventative medication, and treat a heart worm infection. As a biology student, I dissected several cats who pasted from heart worms. No one wants to loose a pet to this fast growing, killer parasite.

It is not a good idea to let standing water stay on your property. Hundreds of mosquitoes can hatch in a couple days in damp soil or still water in the bottom of a planter. Please be sure to take your pets to the vet for bi-annual heart worm screening and treatment!

Parvo in puppies is unfortunately a common disease with deadly consequences. Here's what to know about parvo in puppies and protecting your dog.

Playtime is a critical component of life for everyone including dogs! We give short, 10mins breaks throughout the day for pups to play with mom and big brother.

Daily playtimes give your Huskadorable the mental and physical stimulation this smart, athletic breed needs. This not only fosters strong bone and muscle development, but also allows them to learn what is expected when they interact with people and other pets. And it’s just adorable to watch them grow :-)

Just two little girls still searching for their forever home. Both are super smart and playful! You won’t find a more intelligent and snuggly, loyal friend for life :-)

One is more docile and lays at my feet when I’m at the kitchen sink. She has a black coat with white markings on her face and stomach.

The other is the spunky “runt” of the litter with a German Shepherd coat coloring and perked up ears.

We are hosting one final puppy meet and greet this Saturday Dec 19th at Patterson Park.

Just in time for Christmas!
We have five delightful pups available to rehome as early as the week of December 19th.

Our Husky Labrador mix puppies are playful, intelligent, and loyal companions. Full grown they will be 45-50lbs with the males being a bit larger than the females.

We love this breed so much we kept a pup for our kids! His favorite activities are playing fetch, long walks, giving kisses to my toddler, and snuggling in bed with my teen.

12/05/2021

It was so much fun to reconnect with pups from last year’s litter and play with our current pups :-)

We have rehomed two puppies and have 5 more still available.
