Attention Miniature horse world!!!🚨📢 And please share! Welcome to Mini Talk! This is an idea I’ve had for a while and it’s time to go for it! Mini Talk will be a place where we only talk minature horses. What about minature horses? Anything and everything! We would like to do interviews, Q and A, and possibly demonstrations with people all over the minature horse industry. From breeders to show trainers to threapy trainers and everything in between and you all help ask the questions! The idea is to create a helpful and informative environment for everyone in the miniature horse world and to help newcomers, anyone struggling with their miniature, or someone that just loves to hear about miniature horses! Please comment and tag someone you’d like to hear from and why! We will be looking for people from all over the industry to interview to get their thoughts and ideas! Don’t forget to Follow and Share!!!

Foaling season is almost here! I’m sure the last thing most people thought about while we break the ice from the top of our water troughs this past weekend was foals but it’s almost that time of year again! And behalf of M and R minis we’d like to wish all breeders and non breeders, including all livestock owners a safe and eventful year! We have a great line up for you all here at M and R minis with most of our mares due in early April. Our sires to our mares this year consist of CCMF Piano Mans Dolce Vito
Few-Spot 34" Black Appaloosa Stallion!
Vito is sired by 6x AMHA World Champion, ALLIANCE PIANO MAN who is a son of AMHA National GRAND CHAMPION stallion, GROSSHILL BOOGERMANS FINE LINE. Our second stallion bred to our wonderful mares is Coffey's SS Spotless Spirit Few-Spot 29”appaloosa stallion! Who is a very well known stallion to the appaloosa breeding world and is known for his small colorful babies. Last but certainly not least our home bred stallion My Friend Stormey 33” pinto! Who is sired by BLUE ICE MTP DRAKKAR who is foaled by HIDDEN MEADOWS VANITY FAIR. Stormey is also foaled by LUCKY FOUR REBELS DREAM GIRL who is sired by SIDS REBEL! And not only do we have amazing bloodlines thru our stallions but we have amazing bloodlines thru each one of our amazing mares. Our mares have each been selected to our program to bring you all nothing but the best foals possible as we focus on appaloosas and pintalossas. Most of our mares are AMHA and AMHR and all of our stallions are AMHA and AMHR. We may not be the biggest breeding program around and never want to be but we do strive to be the best breeding program around. We provide the best quality care possible for each one of our mares stallions and foals. We offer shipping to surrounding states and further depending on the situation and know many shippers that would be happy to go further to get our babies to it’s perfect home. Feel to message us with any questions you may have. PLEASE share our posts to help each one of our babies find their perfect person and home!!!

Welcoming “Roc's Spotz on Crystal Palace” barn name “Chrissy” to the herd all the way from Niagara Falls NY! Chrissy is a 12 year old, 34” tall, beautiful apolossa mare. It was quite the journey to get Chrissy home from New York to Maryland threw the inches of snow we countered and being a 7+ hour drive one way but we’re happy to finally have her home. She is already making new friends and being reunited with old friends she knew from a previous farm. Chrissy was exposed for a 2023 foal and we can’t wait for her and all our other mares foals arrival! Keep a look out for spotty babies in 2023!!!

We had quite the situation this morning that left everyone very unhappy, We had ran out of treats! The boys were so upset they took matters into their own hands and told me that they couldn’t stand seeing their girlfriends unhappy and needed me to take them to Tractor Supply to get some more! So we loaded up and off we went. When we got their the boys spit up, searched up and down every isle looking for the treats. Of course Ghost got distracted by the dog toys, and a sweet feed trying to convince me we needed more but I reassure him we had plenty at home. Meanwhile my brother Luke took Oreo around and Oreo was on a mission to find the treats and he did! Luke had to help him get them off the shelf and to the register. But this is where things got difficult because now everyone in Tractor Supply knew they were there! Worn out from trying to find the treats and we’re in severe need of attention made sure everyone gave them pets and scratches on the way out. Overall a very successful trip the boys were very well behaved a lot of kids took pictures with them and gave scratches that the boys enjoyed!

Late on this introduction but meet my new barn buddy “Nove”! She is a year old, deaf, Blue healer, Bodier collie mix we have had her for about a month now and she’s been nothing but amazing and smart. She loves to go to the barn with me and will want to play fetch all hours of the day and won’t stop till she’s drops! She has recently learned to operate the door handles of our home… and welcomes herself in every room she doesn’t belong. My mother is such a fan of that… She came to us from a friend of ours who loved her very much but she was not a great fit with her and her other pup. So she’s here to be loved by us where she’s free to run with the horses, lounge on the deck or open the door to come on in and leave it wide open for my mother to yell at her for forgetting Nove is deaf. If your looking at the pictures wondering with that is on her back yes, she does have a harness to make her look like a horse with a jockey on her back! I can’t wait for the years to come with this amazing girl! Introducing Nove!

RIP Betty 2013 - October 3rd, 2022
This is not a post that any animal owner likes to make but we lost an amazing and beautiful miniature horse today who is now running threw feilds of never ending feilds of green grass. Betty came home with us in December of 2020 when she got home no one could get anyone near her she would run from us and really give us a run for our money with the farrier and vet. After some much needed love and attention she became the perfect mini and would wait at the fence for treats from anyone and everyone that passed by. In March of 2022 only 6 short months ago she had an unknown incident that resulted in having to have her eye surgery removed while pregnant with a filly she delivered in early July. The foal is as healthy as could be and since then Betty has been an amazing mother to her baby “Liberty”. For everyone now wondering Liberty is ok and ready to be weined and will be ok as far as health goes without her mother. But when I tell you Betty has been to he🏒🏒 and back again I mean it. In a span of two years learning to trust people, losing an eye, going threw surgery pregnant, and later delivering a healthy foal and being an amazing mother. Betty will deeply missed by family, friends, and anyone that has ever crossed paths with her she was a tough horse that will always be remembered. Rip Betty October 3rd, 2022 5:03pm
